So he signed with Kentucky to play college ball there. After his freshman year he declared for the draft but didn't sign an agent. He was not drafted by ANYBODY and so became a FA. However, since he had not been drafted, nor signed an agent, and still had college eligibility he was allowed to return to the NCAA. So he goes back to Kentucky and plays a year or two with the Wildcats again. But the whole time hes a free agent in the NBA. See, under the current CBA a player can only be in the draft one time. Since he went undrafted he can't re-declare and is essentially a free agent playing NCAA ball instead of pro. So he plays the NCAA tournament with Kentucky and then signs with the Knicks like a week after the Wildcats lose. Craziness. And after all that hes in China now. What a ride.
