Someone post pictures of Amare in a Heat uniform.

Heat never wanted him. We already had our no defense, offensively talented PF in Michael Beasley.

Bosh can play better D than both of them

Corey Bosh is going to get shit on tonight; Amare's gonna get at least 30.

I'm starting to like watching the Knicks, it's pretty exciting. Feels like they never missed a beat.

It's like a god damned no defense all star game so far. Transition defense has been garbage on both sides (mostly Miami's).

Both teams have a number of players that are phenomenally athletic/individually talented, though, so it makes for entertaining basketball.

12-17-2010, 07:20 PM

Holy shit. Arroyo wide open. Oh...D'Antoni. Guy doesn't give a shit about giving away points.

People seriously think this Knicks team can challenge Boston/Miami/Chicago in the east?

kamikazi_player

Damn, NY's playing absolutely no D, they are letting them score easily inside.

jestersmash
12-17-2010, 07:27 PM
This isn't playoff-caliber basketball by any stretch of the imagination, but it's certainly entertaining. I'll give them that.

This guy Fields is absolutely terrible.

I wouldn't say he's terrible, he's just in the wrong positions at the wrong time. This rookie will make mistakes and learn from them. He's clearly became a contributor on this Knicks run or else they would have benched him. It will grow over time until he finally knows the system a little more

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 07:52 PM
This guy Fields is absolutely terrible.

Fields has arguably been the best rookie (from a consistency standpoint) all year besides Griffin.

This, he's been a great contributor as I said, don't really judge him on this first half. He's been great so far.

jestersmash
12-17-2010, 07:54 PM
I mean god damn did you see that 3 by tony douglas? Terrible fucking defense from Miami. They left him wide open. New York didn't even have to move the ball really do get him that open shot.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 07:54 PM
Yeah, Fields has been very, very solid. He is not spectacular at anything (maybe rebounding), but he does a lot of good things.

Muser
12-17-2010, 07:57 PM
This game so far has been entertaining but terrible basketball from both teams.

You should put the Lakers/76ers game on, fucking terrible.

Best rebounding guard in the NBA, tbh. More than 7 a game. You would want that from your forwards.

Kind of annoying to see Bosh being guarded by smaller defenders. Of course he has 16 points.

SPEAKING OF FANTASY TEAMS....OKUR is playing today.

jestersmash
12-17-2010, 08:14 PM
Boston is going to skullfuck either of these teams. I hope for Miami's/NY's sake that they're just deliberately coasting through the first half and will actually start playing some respectable defense starting in the 3rd.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 08:14 PM
It's because Amare can't guard him. They are trying to hide him defensively. Heat are doing the same thing with Bosh. Lets see who guards who in crunch time.

Also, getting the W is what is important.

Chieflion
12-17-2010, 08:15 PM
The 3rd quarter is where LeBron will usually explode, the Knicks better be prepared for that.

frodo
12-17-2010, 08:16 PM
You're gonna need more from Bosh when the Heat play Boston in the ECF. The Knicks are a team they should be c-stomping.

no way the NYC knicks get curbstomped when they overwhelm the opponents in the paint. amare >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> bosh

lebron/wade need to attack the rim a bit more if they want to win this imho.

Xylus

Amare is playing Center right now, Bosh is playing PF. I don't know why D'Antoni doesn't play Randolph.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 08:18 PM
The difference is Miami has a guy at center who isn't giving up a ton of size on Amare. With Amare he's the only interior player on the court.

Joel is undersized. He is tough, but undersized.

Chieflion
12-17-2010, 08:18 PM

He is fixated on his 8 man rotation. No way he plays Randolph.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 08:19 PM
That is not the point. Wilson could easily guard Joel if they thought Amare could handle Bosh. Joel has 0 offensive game.

I don't know why, but so far 2 teams, (GS and now NY) have basically given up on him. Maybe it's personal attitude or maybe low basketball IQ, but it looks like his potential might be overrated. I don't know for sure, he's only 21, but it's not a good sign when 2 teams basically won't play you, healthy or not.

DPG21920

Surprisingly Knicks are 6-6 at home, and 10-4 on the road :lol easy schedule or not, that's tough to do.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 08:26 PM
lol Where did I tear Amare down? You seem to have a vested interest in this. I don't.

DPG21920

Also, you knock down Bosh to prop up Amare. Someone points out Bosh is 7-11, you say "only 1 rebound". Stuff like that.

amare is still a poor defender as ever. just an upgraded version of stromile swift that's what i see amare is. bosh/amare both are good players but neither is an influential PF that with good low-post game like duncan and the prime elton brand.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 08:46 PM
Getting ugly right now. MIA's defense has been the difference. When the refs let teams play physical, MIA's athletes have a nice advantage.

If Miller can stay healthy and his stroke comes back quickly, that is another big piece for MIA.

Well, it was pretty clear Bosh won this head to head match up that I'm sure picklebreath was eagerly awaiting :lol

Bosh actually defended Amare in the 2nd half one on one and shut him down pretty much. Not only that, but his team got an impressive blowout win.

This Heat defense is pretty good. I would forsure thought the Knicks score at least 100 the way they were playing in the first half, 2nd half they closed them down for good.

amare has never been good at creating his own shots imo. playing one-on-one in offense amare is no better than anyone. just cut off the supply to amare and dude is castrated.

amare plays no D and he's been out of supply tonight, so it looks he's been overwhelmed by bosh on both ends of the floor. bosh has been doing a good work on amare so far but I'd give more credit to lebron/wade for this.

DPG21920
12-17-2010, 09:40 PM
Bosh played a bigger role than Wade tonight, but Lebron was clearly the best player on the court.

This was an easy win for Miami. Knicks aren't looking too solid against better teams.
