how will San Antonio actually defend the Lakers when he and Pau are on the court together Oh snap, with the Goods off the bench come win or go home time? Gonna counter with a one dimensional, pasty Boner, eh? :rollin

btw have you guys hung that Nov Championship banner yet? :flag:

LAL is rightfully favored but the gap is very narrow. The Spurs can come at the LAL in waves.

Duncan, Manu, Parker, Jefferson, and either Dice or Splitter gives plenty of size and skill plus the Spurs are now deeper 1-12 than the LAL when Anderson returns with Hill/Neal.

Spurs if healthy are a deep combo with 11 championships at the big three core plus solid additions that make the Spurs right now a dangerous threat to the LAL and their over confident fans. The Spurs won't fear LAL at all period.

The LA Times Top Ten, hit the link for the rest.

San Antonio moves to the top of The Times' NBA rankings (http://articles.latimes.com/2010/dec/18/sports/la-sp-nba-rankings-20101219)
Andrew Bynum's return helps Lakers jump six spots to No. 4.
By Mark Heisler
Los Angeles Times

RANKINGS, COMMENTS THROUGH SATURDAY

1. SAN ANTONIO (23-3) If Lakers think they're the same creaky Spurs, think again. (2)

2. BOSTON (21-4) Rondo hurt again; starting to look like Kobe last season. (1)

3. MIAMI (21-8) Celtics escape Knicks. Heat, now on 12-0 run, toy with them. (4)

4. LAKERS (20-7) Bynum's mere return means Gasol's minutes drop, scoring goes up. (10)

5. DALLAS (21-5) Lakers had enough trouble in West draw when they were best by far. (3)

6. OKLAHOMA CITY (19-8) Durant at 41% on Dec. 1, at 50% since and Thunder has won 14 of 18. (5)

7. UTAH (19-9) Okur back but Jazz needs a big who blocks shots, not makes threes. (7)

8. DENVER (16-10) Trying to win Anthony back, last thing they need is Knicks rise. (9)

9. NEW ORLEANS (16-10) Lost nine of 13 before coming from 23 down to win in Sacramento. (11)

10. ORLANDO (16-10) It won't be the same without Vince and Rashard, hopefully. (6)

Speaking of being shorthanded... you guys start 6'4" Blair at center. Tell me how does he (or Bonner :lol) stop Bynum? TD won't be able to help either because he will have his hands full with the best PF in the game. :wakeup

I recall a radio interview here in San Diego. AB was asked, "What kind of players do you like playing against? Guys your size like say Samuel Dalembert or Greg Oden, or those truck-like guys like Chuck Hayes?"
AB answered,"Guys my size. Those SMALLER BIGS have a way of getting into my legs and wrecking my base."

Thinking about it, I think DeJuan will do okay, as long as he gets into AB's legs and makes him work. He does that and well...Mr. Glass will do the rest.
