lame penalty on McCourty...

LnGrrrR
12-19-2010, 09:40 PM
Yeah, that was a BS penalty. What's he supposed to do? Kiss the receiver? Play pattycake? Detach his head and put it aside while tackling someone?

Did Connolly go back out to play right after that runback?

BlackSwordsMan

He mostly likely huffed on pure oxygen for 30 mins

Yes...and he was fullback on 2nd down:lol

GB is my brother's team, so I've followed them forever(as I've said here before), so while a W and a possible playoff spot would be nice, a win here would probably mean Mike McCarthy's job would be secure for another year, which would mean another wasted season next year..

He's a terrible coach that has cost GB at least 2 games this year..the injuries have been a huge factor in their record, but he's probably been the #2 factor, tbh..

DeadlyDynasty
12-19-2010, 10:37 PM
They are gutting the NE D with the run, and they're a pretty poor run team...blueprint for the rest of the league. If it weren't for a couple bullshit plays then this game would be a blowout.

DeadlyDynasty

Kuhn is killing the Pats

The Packers are out-whiteboying them :lol

To be fair, the Pats aren't playing with three of their D-lineman... Wright, Brace and I believe one other are out this week with injuries. They can't rotate much.

McCarthy showing his brilliant playcalling, as usual..wow..

The story of GB's season has been losing close games that they hand to the other team..I'm guessing this game will be the same..

HarlemHeat37

Total yards

Packers: 312
Patriots: 129

:lol Not running the ball when your running game is actually working, which has been rare all season..

GB really should have taken advantages of their chances..they can't hold Brady for too much longer..

The Pats finally started making sense with their calls, calling some draws to take advantage of GB blitzing all the time. Game is still far from over, of course.

The difference in coaching is usually evident in these types of games..GB literally has the worst record of any "good" team in close games since McCarthy became coach, as the stat they just showed on SNF displayed..

You know, there's going to be a huge difference between Boston fans like myself, who were raised with Boston sports ineptitude for the most part (Celts excluded), and those who grew up in the last decade, where Boston teams took 6 titles.

There's a reason why Banta-Cain has slided down the depth charts. Heck, I want to punch him myself.

Green Bay has sucked in these situations, we'll see what McCarthy runs..

Nice sneak, surprised they went with that, it hasn't worked all year..

One of the worst endings I've ever seen..

Green Bay loses another game they should have won, story of their season..they have outplayed the opposing team in at least 12 of their games IMO, but they're now in a position where they have to win their last 2 games to make the playoffs..

I'm not exaggerating either, I've never seen a team beat themselves so much..

They control their own destiny though..

HarlemHeat37
12-19-2010, 11:28 PM
Green Bay now has 6 losses by 4 or less points, this season alone..

McCarthy is now 2-16 in games that are decided by a TD or less..

Wow... that's kinda crazy. And for those keeping track at home, that's 27 in a row that Brady has won at home. In the regular season. *cough choked in the playoffs last year to Baltimore cough*

Man what a day. Went to the Celts game earlier then went straight to Gillete. Sloppy win. The run D was pretty pathetic but the D once again came up with that big play when it was needed. That sack by Fletcher changed that drive.

Lets hope it is just due to our linemen being injured, and not a regression thing.

It looked like the Pats took the injury depleted Packers a little too lightly and it bit them in the ass. In the long run this wake up call could end up being really good for the Pats...:tu

nice take, Nick. But anyone with a brain that gets that realized NE isn't a contender. No need to get all defensive.

The only team in the AFC who I am concerned playing are the Ravens. The Steelers don't scare me one bit when Brady is the qb. The Chargers have a choking kicker and a conservative head coach. Meh on the Jets. KC (If they win the division) could be interesting though.

I don't mind Meriweather as a nickel... he made the pick that would've iced the game if not for Banta-Cain's penalty. He just does dumb things sometimes, and I don't think that's going to change.

As far as DE, don't forget that Ty Warren is on IR. His loss is certainly making a negative impact on the line.

I think Arrington has really improved this year. I remember wanting to punch him during the Ravens game.
