Arenas

TRUE PG. Now I know Nelson isnt a true PG either but I sure as hell know he'll share the rock more than Arenas would...

Since the Suns now own the 2011 unprotected 1st, I fully endorse this trade. Nelson and Reddick are smart, quality basketball players, while Thomas is underachieving and Jackson is over the hill and a headcase. I can only hope this move occurs, chemistry issues set in and Howard goes loony from the insanity, landing the Suns a top-15 1st along with their own!

tbh, this actually makes a little sense for the Magic. They have nobody to guard LeBron/Wade and these two could handle the job as well as anyone else.

Just not sure if msb is talking out of his ass or not

the Magic are fucked if they lose nelson. arenas should never be used as a play-maker due to his lack of vision and pace, imo arenas is just a cheap shooter now and thats all. although nelson isn't much of a play-maker either, his speed injects some vigor into their offense at least. a dead-legged arenas will pretty much cripple their offense and on the defensive end he will be a liability as well

Does this trade even work?..

Highly unlikely.

Jackson is the Bobcat's glue guy and best player. Why would they trade him for Jameer?

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Orlando may have pulled the trigger on the deals in part to prevent Dwight Howard from eventually leaving.

lol @ magic.

trading away howards backup. now he has to play 40 minutes a game and will be worn out by the all-star break. yea, that will satisfy him...

1) Augustine is very inconsistent and perhaps one of the worst starting PG's in the league.

2) Jackson is causing Larry Brown headaches. Jackson also is heading to the wrong side of 30 pretty soon and has 3 more years left on his expensive deal.

3) Bobcats are the 5th worst team in the East and don't look anything like the team they were a year ago.

4) Trading Jackson + Thomas for Nelson and Reddick improves their point guard position and at the same time shaves off over 30 million in potential salary.

Jackson isn't even close to being their best player, tbh..he looks done, I guess he could use a change of scenery, even though I don't believe this rumor..

Frankly, I think having both Arenas and Nelson on your team is a little redundant. Since the Magic obviously brought in Agent 0 for a reason, I would not at all be surprised to see Nelson on his way out.

That would be colossally stupid, though. Nelson >>> Arenas. For team chemistry if nothing else.

When did Nelson become a great team player?

I never said he was. But Hep B is still preferable to brain cancer.

Arenas is not as bad as you say. He's made some stupid decisions, but as a basketball player you can't say he's not talented. Him and Jameer Nelson is redundant, but Gilbert brings more play-making ability because he's just more talented and bigger. He's also had to go through a Michael Vick type transformation and we all know how thats turning out.

Well this move could negate them losing Pietrus/Gortat. Even with all these moves, Orlando is won't be any better than the 3rd best in the east.

So because Michael Vick was able to re-closet his demons, it means Arenas and all other players are a lock to do the same? There is no guarantee that Arenas doesn't plague the Magic just like he did in Washington.
