"Actually, my knee was a little bit sore," Bynum reported after the game.
He said he felt some pain in his knee after he missed a fourth-quarter layup, jumped for the rebound and then scored on his second attempt. It was not enough to prevent him from playing his current role as Pau Gasol's backup at center, however.
Bynum said he planned to ice his knee during the Lakers' flight home Sunday. He didn't believe a twinge of pain was any reason for concern and he planned to be available to play in Tuesday's home game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
"I have to live with it," he said of the pain. "It's not going to change. It's nothing to be nervous about. I have to expect that that's going to happen. I can't wait to start working with my trainer (Sean Zarzana) again, so I can get some explosion back.
His lack of lift is glaring.
"I've got to do a lot more training, I think, just to get my explosiveness back," he said. "Normally, I catch lobs (from teammates for easy dunks) and my game is off the floor. "I feel like I'm kind of glued to the floor right now."
