ehh I wouldn't disrespect Fisher. he nails them when they hurt the most Horry style.

Actually he sucks an elephant dick all regular season, puts up a replacement level PER, contributes next to nothing in any regular stats categories, and lowers people's expectations so much that when he actually does something it causes people to over-react and pretend he can play basketball.

Lol Fisher's advanced stats. This is a guy who'd be getting cut from the fucking D-league.

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5046/5278387355_d3456bb648_b.jpg

He's just as shitty in the playoffs. Tbh he had one really, truly good stretch in the 01 playoffs and was semi-decent in a few others. Because he's able to hit a couple of jumpers at crucial times he's rewarded whereas if he were in Minnesota he would be getting bought out of his contract right now.

Fisher is the leader of the back to back champions has 5 rings and is president of the players union ...
With a game on the line there are few players I would rather take a shot in the current NBA ...Kobe, Manu, Ray allen, Pierce and MAYBE Melo are the few who I would rather catch and shoot with the game on the line

Only Fisher can defy .4. Being able to catch and shoot in that short amount of time.

Count this Laker fan as someone who respects Derek Fisher, never bad mouths him and understands his role on the team.

Last June, Game 3 in Boston....

Who was playing and who wasn't?

Tony Parker? Nope.

Manu Ginobili? No way.

Jason Terry? Lol

Derek Fisher. And he played great. Thanks D Fish for the memories!

You won't get much argument from me about Fisher's overall body of work. He's not a good NBA player.

But he's substantially better in the playoffs and has consistently raised his game postseason after postseason. Check his TS% of .517 for regular season, .553 for postseason career. He's had some amazing postseason shooting runs, plenty north of .600... love him or hate him (plenty of Laker fans hate him), the guy just plain shoots and plays better when the defenses are better and the pressure is higher.

This thread is full of fail, tbh. Fisher is probably one of the classiest dudes in NBA history. What's the purpose of making a thread to shit on him?

Listen, Derek Fisher didn't lie about his daughter having eye cancer. What he lied about was that Los Angeles was the best destination to have the cancer treated. The University of Utah has one of the best eye centers in the United States, which is known as the John A. Moran Eye Center. That eye center would have been able to easily treat the eye cancer that his daughter had. So, all I'm saying, is when Derek Fisher leaves the Jazz to "Do what's right for his family", and immediately joins the Lakers shortly after they kindly let him go,something doesn't sit right with us Jazz fans. The notion, that he went to the Lakers to save his daughter is false. He went to the Lakers because he hated Utah, and he wanted to be on the team that he was originally with. So, yeah, he basically burned Utah, and used his daughter as a coverup for what he really wanted to do, which was leave the Jazz, and join the Lakers. So, do Jazz fans have good reason to be angry at Derek Fisher? Absolutely we do!

Goddamn laker fans can be retarded on here. Tbh most spur fans aren't far behind, but laker fan just does it on purpose.

The point is the Lakers are so good that they can win despite having a fucking cadaver like Fish starting for them; if they had a decent point guard they would be way, way better. But instead they credit Fisher, and act like they won because of him, not in spite of him.

FAIL.

Complete BULLSHIT.

Los Angeles has better resources. The Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles is ranked #5 for Ophthalmology.

The University of Utah's Eye center is ranked #95.

Yeah I'm sure Fisher wanted to treat his daughter's life threatening medical condition by going to the 95th ranked provider. :rolleyes
