Poll coming

Fucked up with the poll,

Lakers/Spurs
Mavs/Spurs
Mavs/Lakers

Explain why

Banzai

Lakers/Spurs..cause both teams are good and have star players.

Texas Chili Dog
12-20-2010, 10:14 PM
Mavs/Spurs of course.

edit: actually I'll go with Mavs/Lakers just because Dirk and Kobe have never met in the playoffs. And it would be a shame if it never happened. I love Mavs/Spurs but it's happened quite enough lately.

Honestly?

OKC/Lakers.

Best series of last year imo

Lakers/Mavs

These teams haven't faced off since the '88 WCF. It would be great for the city of Dallas as far as bring basketball out if the lull its been in

spurs/warriors

cause it would be really really really easy

I'd love to see a Lakers/Mavs series, but obviously hoping it happens in the Semis..it would be a sexy series, tbh..

I hope the Spurs get Utah in the Semis, as the other matchup..

Spurs vs. anyone else although the Thunder would be fun.

Wouldn't mind seeing Utah go to the wcf either

Mavs/Lakers, tbhq

The way Dirk has consistently kicked Gasol's teeth down his throat through their careers would be on display for everyone to see.

i expect a spurs/lakers series for the WCF. it would be fun to watch a spurs/mavs series as well but I doubt the mavs can go that far. Mavs have been looking good as it gets but they will be struggling to perform when games turn tough as the playoffs begin. jump-shooting teams rarely get past the 2nd round, and i believe the mavs with current components aren't that good to replicate their "success" of 06.

jestersmash
12-20-2010, 11:25 PM
Mavs/Lakers would be such a forgettable matchup. They have no history. Lakers would skullfuck them in a 7 game series unless Dirk goes 10-12 shooting for every game (though amazingly enough, I wouldn't put it past Dirk to do that).

Lakers would skullfuck the Spurs as well, but at least there's history between those two teams. It's just a more interesting match up.

Spurs/Mavs also have history and would be more interesting than Mavs/Lakers, but this isn't going to happen so it's fruitless to think about it.

The Mavs don't wan the Lakers in the WCF, tbh. What's funny is the Lakers have won like 55 of the last 62 games against the Mavs. That includes 2005-2007 when we had Kwame, Cook, and Smush playing major minutes. Talk about ownage. :lol

Now watch some bitch ass Mav fan looks it up to see if I'm wrong! :lmao

I'd love to see Spurs - Thunder, Mavs - Lakers in the WC Semis. Both series would be absolutely incredible to watch.

I would really like to see Dirk and Kobe try to outscore each other. Would be a hell of a matchup. I think the Mavs have the personnel to give the Lakers some problems on the offensive end.

Both Mookie and Dirk would score almost the same points, but unlike Dirk, Mookie will attempt 10-15 more shots just to keep pace with Dirk.

I knew somebody would step up and talk shit. Well, here you go: the Lakers are 95-30 (http://www.lakersuniverse.com/headtohead/season_lakers_mavericks.htm) against the Mavs all-time in the regular season. and 12-6 in the playoffs (winning every series against you jackasses). Check out the times where you guys beat us by 5 points or less. I'm sure the ownage would be worse if not for some home cooking at Reunion Arena (or where you a fan back then? :lol)

Lakers are 107-36 all time against the Mavs. We Michael Jackson, y'all Tito. We're Ike, y'all Tina. We're Anthony Peeler, y'all KG. :lol

Like I said, you guys don't want to see us in the WCF. :lmao

Kind of hard to believe that Lakers and Mavs haven't met at least once in the playoffs since the turn of the century. Both teams averaging 50+ wins a season in that decade as well.

To answer the OP's question...Lakers/Spurs or Lakers Mavs...anything else would be over in 4-5 games

In all honesty, I'd rather see the Mavs in the WCF. The Sp*rs won't get there in my opinion unless they get TD some low post help. At least the Mavs could try to matchup with our front court:

Chandler v. LO (if LO starts)
_irk v. Pau
Brenda v. Bynum

If the Mavs aren't there it could be a sweep, tbh.

LOL @ anyone thinking Mavs/Lakers would be a good series. We're talking Dallas here. The team that gets exposed in just about every playoff series they have gotten themselves in to over the last 10 years. Does anyone actually believe a Dallas team with Rick Carlisle and Dirk at the helm would have the mental toughness to even compete with the Lakers in a 7 game series? Get real you fucktards.

24-3 without James Anderson, and George Hill the last couple games.
Best 3pt. shooting team without Anderson's range. No.1 on offense.
