Wielding an unprecedented number of filibusters, the GOP waged war against the Democratic agenda to defeat Obama, apparently viewing unemployed workers, judicial nominees, service members, and even 9/11 rescue workers as collateral damage. As Congress entered the lame-duck session, Senate Republicans threw ‘operation obstruction’ into overdrive.

In a rare moment of honesty, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) openly admitted that the GOP stalling tactics on publicly-supported legislation were nothing more than an attempt “to run out the clock.”

“There’s much for them to be angst-ridden about,” McConnell said with a chuckle. “If they think it’s bad now, wait till next year.”

===========

I'm reading that the Repugs will impose a debt ceiling that will force cuts in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

(If you think pitbull bitch's lies about death panels were funny, wait 'til you see millions of old, young, poor Americans going without drugs and sick-care, overflowing the ERs, and eating animal food and restaurant scraps so they can pay for sick-care. When they come to ER, they will be much sicker, for longer, and much more expensive to treat by the taxpayer-funder public sick-care services)

And dickless Barry, his WH tied down with harassing, witch-hunting subpoenas and info demands, and non-stop lies and slander from the Repugs and VRWC, will sign it, saying "The US cannot default on its debts, so I have no choice"

The Repugs and VRWC are nearing their goal of regressing the USA, dragging it back to the 1920s, or early 1800s, because they lie that The American People support them with an overhelming mandate.

Prediction: the Repugs will DO NOTHING about jobs for 2 years, and block any job creation attempts, because they want the pain and depression to remain, even deepened, until the 2012 election. It worked in 2010, it will work in 2012.
