Fox has been airing all kinds of ads about their station being dropped by Time Warner, the reality is that the quote from their website is much more accurate:

Without a renewal, Time Warner Cable will no longer have the right to carry the broadcast of the television stations covered by this expiring agreement.

Now, I was just reading that Time Warner has a deal with News Corp that will allow them to show all of the prime time shows even if they do not have a deal with Sinclair Broadcasting Group, who owns the local affiliate. That means we won't miss NFL Football, American Idol, Glee, etc. We will miss out on KABB News (LOL) and some of the other BS syndicated stuff they show during the day.

And these idiots at Sinclair think I'm going to switch to a competitor over their channel alone, those fuckers really think a lot of themselves don't they? I'll either just not give a flying fuck, watch online, or dig out my antenna.

I could go on and on about all of these rich idiots fighting over my money, you have these two, the NFL, the NBA, and probably other people I haven't even thought of, but the worst part is that we get fucked over in the process. It's like their thought process involves them, the people they are dealing with, and money. The money is actually all of us, but they don't see that, they just see $$$$$$$.

Fucking richers.

after 20+ years with T-W, last week I switched to uverse. Yeah, they all rip you off... but at least uverse internet is noticeably faster than T-W, even though I have the same speed tier as I had with T-W.

plus, T-W really begs & pleads when you tell them you are leaving. They throw all sorts of deals at you to get you to stay. I just mentioned that since it's kind of weird listening to them trashing the competition and begging you to stay with T-W. I kind of felt sorry for them... no... I guess I didn't...

That just pisses me off about all cable companies. If you can offer all these deals to me when I say I want to cancel my service, why were my rates so high to begin with? They're perfectly happy to ream the hell out of you until you want to leave. There's always a promotional period too. I'd love to find a cable company that just comes out and says "this is what we charge... period. The price won't change unless you change your service."

That's why I call the AT&T cancellations department every 6 months - it's in my calendar when my promos expire - and tell them I'm leaving unless they give me whatever promotion is going on every time. It's worth a shot for any company out there.

Inflation brah. There is no point of getting in no contract with TWC it's a rip-off. I used to work at Time Warner got fired in August. I hated it so much there being in the billing department. I was so down at first cause the money was amazing, but defintley not worth the bullshit. I'm happy now doing retail stock, and not working with customers and finishing up school. I seriously doubt though Fox will be taken off same shit happened last year, they got it done at midnight. but it gets quite annoying with all these commercials. I switched to Uverse more cuz they got both the nba tv now and nfl, plus you get alot more channels, better internet and a home phone for about the same as you pay for just digital cable and rr standard with twc.
