I mean since "Berry" has now been able to pass...the repeal of Don't ask Don't tell...the 9/11 First Responders Fund...and that nuclear Treaty...all in the Lame Duck session...how frustrating must that be...I wonder if that's why he conceded to extend those damn tax cuts for the super rich...was he secretly making deals to get these passed...if so...good show old man...good show...

Magic Negro's and the Dem's Congress has been one of the most productive in a few decades. aka, "progress".

Even with smash-mouth, nihilistic, punitive Repug obstructionism, and DINOs voting against, MN, Nancy, Harry have accomplished a hell of a lot, not that I agree with all the compromises.

When the Repugs get more power and House committees control, full constipation, aka, regress. They will certainly do nothing to improve the country, esp not with housing, financial crimes (killed in committee) and unemployment.

They should've just adjourned and gone home - but instead they're ramming through all these unpopular bills. But they'll pay the price for it down the road because the people are NOT happy about it!

Ermmm, actually those are the most important issues to the sheeple of the United States of America. WE (collectively) are values voters...if a dude loves God and American business profits and hates gays, abortion, and international cooperation to solve problems - he or she has 35/40% of the vote and just needs to slam the other candidate during Prime Time TV commercials for the other 10-15% in a general election.

Nothing is more important than abortion, gay integration, and terrorists. NOTHING.

Vice Admiral: Obama was outmaneuvered by Russians on START
U.S. Naval Institute - December 23, 2010

President Barack Obama was outmaneuvered by the Russians and should have abandoned the New START negotiations instead of seeking a political victory, says former nuclear plans monitor Vice Admiral Jerry Miller, USN (Ret).

“The Obama administration is continuing a dated policy in which we cannot even unilaterally reduce our own inventory of weapons and delivery systems without being on parity with the Russians,” Miller told the U.S. Naval Institute in Annapolis, Md. “We could give up plenty of deployed delivery systems and not adversely affect our national security one bit, but New START prohibits such action - so we are now stuck with some outmoded and useless elements in our nuke force.”

After meeting resistance from several Republicans, the U.S. Senate ratified the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) with Russia by a vote of 71-26 on Wednesday.

“The Soviets/Russians were done in by Reagan and our missile defense program because they cannot afford to build such a system,” said Miller. “They instead try to counter our program with rhetoric at the bargaining table. And they won by outmaneuvering Obama. START plays right into their hands.”

Former President Ronald Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) is often credited with bankrupting the U.S.S.R. because the Soviets were unable to keep pace with the technology being developed by the United States.

“We have always been superior in quality of our nuclear force, so we did not have to negotiate with a party we do not trust,” said Miller. “If Obama wanted to save some money and improve national defense, he should have gotten out of the nuke negations and acted unilaterally. START is simply a political victory for Obama.”

Miller, who helped prepare the National Strategic Target List and Single Integrated Operational Plan for waging nuclear war and later participated in arms control meetings with the Soviet government, expressed concern that START could leave the United States vulnerable to other emerging threats.

“The treaty prohibits the conversion of an existing ballistic missile system into a missile defense system,” said Miller. “We might want to do that with a Trident or an ICBM sometime in the future, particularly if the Chinese alleged threat materializes.”

Agreed. I could care less about faggots in the military. Agreeing to give 9/11 responders free life time health care is a lot better than writing them multi-million dollar checks "just because". I'm OK with passing the START treaty. We will still have a shitload of nukes.

Puberty is an ongoing process, and maybe the times are different, but few people start getting interested in sex until about 15. I believe that has accelerated with peer pressure, media, etc. Kids think they are suppose to be interested in sex. When they still think girls are gross, the go gay! Just a theory, but it would explain the growing trend.

The same issues occurred when the military integrated races though, right? Whites will want to clobber blacks in the shower, etc etc...

WC, the business world is professional enough to handle gays working openly. Why do you think our service members aren't as professional?

As others have mentioned, straight men are showering with gay men now, so it makes no difference. Gay men don't have to come out if they feel threatened (though they shouldn't have to feel that way). ANd if a straight person is worried about it, he either a) keeps it to himself, b) gets counseling or c) gets out.

We wouldn't be too concerned about a person who had issues working with a different race or gender, would we?
