Will a turkey sandwich stay good in a fridge for 12 days? It has bread and cheese and mustard.

12 days? Hell no. Unless you're starving and poor, then it's fine.

The apple is probably good, the sandwich, not.

It won't kill you. If it hasn't changed color then it's still fair game.

The last time I ate something questionable I ended up in the hospital for a week. I would like to avoid that.

I don't think so

Plus, sliced turkey has to be consumed rather quikly after the package was opened, or it will taste like shit

Dear God, lazy. Run to McDonald's for lunch (or walk). The dollar menu is there for a reason.

Just think, your body will actually be better off after fighting off the bacteria from your ingestion of green, slimey turkey.

I have decided to eat the sandwich instead of letting it sit in the fridge for 12 days and then eating it when I get back.

Apples will stay good for a while. Sitting at room temperature will only advance the stages of ripening. Depending on the variety of apple, certain ones will ripen more quickly than others. This is due to the amount of sugars & starches that are related to the variety of apple.
