Why say "so far" after "this season"? The "had" insinuates "so far" by default. Or did you want to rule out future wins?

Name one impressive win the Mavs have ever had.

honestly ??? I can't either .......

They led the Jazz by 19 at one point ... lost that game.

Led the Nuggets by 12 going into the 4th and lost that game .......

Barely beat the Bulls without Boozer

I seriously can't think of one because there isn't one .......

That wasn't impressive. They needed a cheap foul call to win. An impressive win would have been to beat the Spurs by 20 on their own floor in game 7, or to beat Miami for the ring.

The Mavs are the standard for choke in the NBA. It's well known. You should never question a back to back champion's effort after the turds your team has left on the court.

I get tired of Spurs fans whine about that call. Get over it. IT WAS A FOUL!!! A LEGITIMATE FOUL!!! Plain as day. I guess for a Spurs fan an impressive win would be fucking your teammate's wife or raping someone.

lakers think they can just coast in the regular season and turn in on the playoffs like before.......

difference is, i think the contenders are a lot stronger than they were years back and the lakers got old.......

they need to turn their mindset around asap or else no threepeat!

It was legit, still a cheap foul, but it wasn't impressive to win that game, especially considering the egg you guys laid in Miami. I hear Dirk is still sitting on that one.

Sadly the Lakers are really reeling. They've lost many games and they have had literally one of the easiest schedules of any team in the NBA. Perhaps this is a good thing for them because they'll start to get up for their games against the elite now like Boston, Spurs, etc after this Christmas day whipping.

jag
12-26-2010, 03:54 PM
All they need to do is go on a three game win streak once their schedule gets tougher and everyone will be back on the bandwagon. Although that Christmas debacle was tough to watch.

not really.. their schedule after the game @ san antonio:

Wed 29 @ New Orleans (http://www.nba.com/hornets/)
Fri 31 vs Philadelphia (http://www.nba.com/sixers/)
Sun 02 vs Memphis (http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/)
Tue 04 vs Detroit (http://www.nba.com/pistons/)
Wed 05 @ Phoenix (http://www.nba.com/suns/)
Fri 07 vs New Orleans (http://www.nba.com/hornets/)
Sun 09 vs New York (http://www.nba.com/knicks/)
Tue 11 vs Cleveland (http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/)
Wed 12 @ Golden State (http://www.nba.com/warriors/)
Fri 14 vs New Jersey (http://www.nba.com/nets/)
Sun 16 @ LA Clippers (http://www.nba.com/clippers/)

they still have the easiest schedule of all top tier teams...but no surpise here, stern wants them back in the finals...lakers vs. heat what a dream matchup, that will make up for the nba lockout next season :toast

Lakers got abused by a ton of teams in last years regular season. Probably like 10-15 double digit losses. I remember Denver beat them by like 30 & then dropped like 130 on them in another game in LA. The Spurs beat them big a few times too. No really impressive wins this season yet but theres still 50+ games to go & a bunch of tough games in the next 2 months.

DMC

LA is dead last in SOS. They were almost dead last two years ago as well. That has to be by design.

Then again, who's fault is it when other teams don't step up? When a team is far and above better than the competition, all schedules are weak. You wouldn't consider that same schedule weak for the Clippers.

DMC

It's not overrating a team when they have the same core group and have won the last 2 years. Sure they aren't playing well right now, but they are still the defending champs, and people treat them that way. You don't have to win every game to be defending champs.

the reason for that cake ass schedule is once the NBA is heavy on the television which is usually the second half of the season, they'll be playing all the top teams on TNT, ESPN and ABC practically every week.

The Lakers are at a place where the odds are against them. 4 straight trips to the NBA Finals. No other team has done it (not counting Boston). It has to be a reason why it has never been done. I think fatigue and Complacency comes into play. This team has had 3 straight seasons of playing in June, when no other NBA team can say the same is playing an effect on the season. The Lakers proved last season that they can turn it on in the playoffs and I think it's in their heads that they can do it again.

I think its going to be a rocky season, similar to the Lakers 2002 season while attempting to win 3 straight titles. By April, the Lakers will flip the switch and win their second 3peat. Book it!
