Tango Splitter. :lol

I think we need to show some more love to this guy. He's the new 7 footer on the Spurs from Brazil that doesn't get very many minutes, we don't know if it's because he doesn't fit in Pop's system or if he just sucks.

I understand that most other team's commentators suck, but these guys don't get a free pass. Tiago Splitter has put up a couple of 20 point games this year and he's still getting called the wrong name? Not only is Tiago an easy foreign name to pronounce, but how the fuck do you think someone's name is Tango?

Hopefully I'm not the only one who saw the Washington feed and noticed this. Three cheers for the Tango. We stacked. :toast

Wasn't able to watch the game, but what the hell? Tiago only logged 5 minutes against an undermanned team? What's with that? Wha wha what??

The game was kind of close, well not really close it's just that the Spurs had a hard time maintaining a lead of +10 throughout the game. They could've easily had a lead of 20+ it's just that they played so poorly. Once the 4th quarter started I thought Splitter would play for sure since the lead was getting much bigger but instead Bonner and Blair stayed in...

Has he even put up 1 20 Pt. game? All I remember is the 18 Pt. game against CLEV(?). He has looked decent lately when given the chance.

I used that loosely, he's put up a couple big games, somewhere around 16-20.

And yeah, if anyone didn't watch it, they were calling him Tango the whole game, it was pretty bad.

Splitter > Blair.

Pop is retarded on this subject.

don't get me wrong. Blair has nice hands and needs to keep playing minutes but if you wanna improve the D you put Splitter in.

Tango is name of a dance in Argentina. I dont know what the author of topic want say, but when he plays for Spurs, he just walk side to side, they dont use him on pick and rolls, i saw Tiago free at least five times per game, and they dont pass the ball to him. Tiago's transition's to NBA remembers Oberto transition's.

But when he plays 15 or more minutes, he's averaging 8,0PPG and 4,1RPG, not bad. :toast

possibly. But defensively he would put maybe 10% what Duncan brings.

Not only would we lose more games anyway, but then Duncan would be so rusty that he would be no good come playoffs.
