He's got a short neck. No joking, no bullshit - he has a short neck. He's got a 6'7 body, but the top of his head is only about 6'5" from the floor. There are some other guys like that around the league. And it doesn't matter what the tape measure says, because they play exactly the same as someone who is officially inches taller than they are.

Paul Millsap is officially one inch taller than Blair. (Both w/o shoes) But Millsap's standing reach is 6'9 1/2", while Blair's is 6'10 1/2". Even though their wingspans are pretty much the same. It's because Blair's body is at least 2" taller than his official height. Maybe more, because Millsap is a bit short-necked too.

Maybe they measure height without shoes, but they don't list height without shoes in most cases. Some guys (come to think of it, a lot of Spurs) listed heights are legit. But others are greatly exaggerated.

Like Beasley at 6-10, even though he's probably not even 6-8 or Stoudemire at 6-10, even though for years we saw he wasn't close to being as big as Duncan. The same goes for Bonner.

Still others are listed as being smaller than they are. It's well known Durant is actually slightly taller than Howard, despite the fact that he's listed as being two inches smaller. It's also obvious that Gasol and Bynum are well over 7-feet. I've especially noticed this with Gasol. He'll be being guarded by guys listed at 7-0, like Biedrins or B. Miller and he'll be towering over them.
