I think these are some of the most relevant of Hollinger's metrics and in them:
Spurs lead the league in offensive efficiency and are improving in defensive efficiency per 100 possessions with a difference of about 10 between the two. (Only Miami has a bigger difference between the two and the margin is fairly small - they have played exceptional defense but have not scored at the Spurs pace, Boston has a similar margin between the two as the Spurs. Notice the Maverick's for all the media love to them have a smaller margin of around 7 but have to be fair played the tougher schedule - but the gap between the schedules will change in the next week or so as the Spurs face multiple tests: See also: http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings that has the SOS figures).
