NBA stars to attend James' first bikeathon
By Brian Windhorst, Beacon Journal sports writer

LeBron James has put together an All-Star cast for his first King for Kids Bikeathon on June 25. Scheduled to attend are NBA stars Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony, along with the Indiana Pacers' Austin Croshere and the New Orleans Hornets' J.R. Smith.

The first 2,000 registered riders ages 14 and over -- youths 12-14 can ride if accompanied by an adult age 21 or over -- will accompany James, the NBA players and other celebrities on an eight-mile trip from downtown Akron through the city and back. The event begins at 11 a.m. After the ride, there will be an interactive Community Celebration in Lock3 park downtown which is open to the public.
