I like all the Saturday afternoon/wood-shop type PBS shows, but This Old House is my favorite. I liked it more back in the nineties with Steve Thomas as host, as opposed to Kevin O'Conner, so I get excited whenever I catch This Old House Classics on the cable networks. However, I did particularly enjoy the modern house they did in Cambridge a few years back.
I watch the 'Ask This Old House' portion of the show as well, but I find the banter to be forced and sometimes awkward. And I don't think Tommy Silva likes Kevin O'Conner too much; there was this one recent episode where Kevin kept fucking simple shit up while he was working with Tommy, and Tommy could barely keep from calling him an idiot.
Anybody else watch?
