As a DC, Phillips is not bad.

Not bad, but I would rather have Cowher with Philips...Amazing how you can have a 5-10 season and keep your job...As a city, Houston must have fucked somebody over to get this kind of treatment

Ehh...not too sure if it would work. He might actually make the defense "softer"....:lol

He's never been a bad defensive coordinator. I approve of this move. :tu

Yeah because he will be the head coach in waiting for next year, it's like watching a dog get run over, but he's still alive only for a matter of time, and it's painful to watch

Except when he was the DC the last 4 years in Dallas

Rocketfan needs to shut the fuck up.
Kubiak isn't going anywhere because of the lockout situation and his offense is actually pretty damn good. If they bring in Wade to be the D coordinator and retool the entire scouting organization this is a step in the right direction. Sure I'd love to see Cower in there but it wasn't happening regardless of whether they fire Kubiak or not.

Kubiak is a pussy and a loser. His offense looks good when they are down 21 points. When you don't come out prepared, whose fault is that? Rick Smith isn't going anywhere, and he was responsible for the defensive personnel. The defense was a big problem, but Frank Bush isn't the only one responsible.
See. Baltimore game
See. Indy second game
See. Dallas game
See. Broncos game
But hey, at least we are "on the right track"

And it doesn't even have to be Cowher, just get a PROVEN head coach in there that can motivate his team

It's why all the national media outlets are writing about what should happen? Because they are rocket fans too? lol Having your feelings hurt by Cushing

McNair can do what he wants which he obviously will, and when his team fails to make the playoffs again, I guess they'll still be on the right track

And a strong head coach would have control over his team. 9 years of losing has taken its toll

I'm in no way anywhere close to being a Texans fan but I can see they need a new HC. Kubiak has lost that team and they need strong leadership and a strong personality to take control of that locker room. Bringing in Wade Phillips in that situation is all sorts of :rollin

Exactly. It's gotten to the point where I can't even be angry about anything they do anymore because now it's comical. Bob McNair doesn't even deserve to be called one of Jerry Jones' turds

If they go to a 3-4 their best defensive player will be playing out of position.

My thinking is this....
Even if a Cower or Gruden (who I think is vastly over rated as a HC) is brought it in would take a year or two for the players to learn the system. Why not ride out the piece of shit Kubiak for one more season, put in a DC with experience running successful defenses and see what happens. If their D was even in the top 20 this season they make the playoffs. Wade can run a hybrid 3-4 and see what happens. They will have the 5-7 pick in the draft where they can get a DT that can play in a 3-4.
I don't see it as the end of the world like rocketfan seems to think it is. I hate Kubiak as a coach as much as faggot rocketfan but why not try to improve the one area that has fucked this team more than anything instead of blowing it up and starting from scratch. This seems like the rational thing to do.
Move the damn team, just move the team. Pussy ass McNair
move it where?
