No. 30 - On The Road actually would top my list. With so many movie critics in here I was curious what their pick would be.

Battle: Los Angeles tbh.

Looks like a pretty weak lineup upon first inspection. A few I'll check out, but most look pretty average or worse.

Super 8 looks nice, although everything about it has been kept secret

Red Dawn maybe, depends on the trailer
Your Highness
Battle: LA
Cowboys and Aliens looks interesting
Super 8 looks interesting too, unless it turns into cloverfield

It can be assumed I'm interested in all the comic book/super hero stuff on the way (the two Greens, Cowboys & Aliens, Captain America, X-Men reboot, the Deadpool flick, and so forth), but on top of that...

The Adjustment Bureau
Source Code
The Rum Diary
Contagion
Immortals
Battle: Los Angeles
Hugo Cabret
Sucker Punch

have all been on my radar for some time.

The Hangover was a pretty shitty movie imho. Part 2 looks to be equally as gay.

I've been looking forward to The Rum Diary for a couple of years now so, obviously that. I am interested in On The Road, but a little dubious.
On the more "popular" side of things I think Rise of the Apes, Battle: Los Angeles and Super 8 look good.
There seem to be a lot of WTF remakes Red Dawn, Footloose (really?!), The Thing, Conan The Barbarian . . . these all sound pretty shitty.
As far as the superhero movies go, my bet is on Thor being the best one.

#1 and #2, Cooper and Abrams, both from Alias
first couple seasons of Alias is still the best thing Abrams ever did

where is Sin City 2?

no DiCaprio, Bale, Downy Jr. in the top 30?

Sucker Punch could be an incomprehensible pile of shit or a badass trip of a movie. I'm hoping for the second option - the first trailer was pretty damn cool. The second... meh.

edit: the first trailer

I gotta go with Super 8 and Battle: Los Angeles. I'll also go watch The Hangover 2...why not. And I gotta admit I will go see Transformers and Scream 4, just because I'm a fan of the franchises as a whole.

Is it just me or do a third of those movies have natalie portman, matt damon, and james franco? I like all three but i fucking hate when hollywood over saturates us with the same actors.
I don't get the allure of JJ Abrams. Immortals looks bad ass i hope that's a good one. All in all looks like 2011 can have some good ones.

MannyIsGod

JJ Abrams does good shit. Thats the allure. Star Trek was epic, I enjoyed Cloverfield, and Allias and Lost were both really really really good.

I'm looking forward to all the big budget special effects cheesefests. Thats pretty much all I ever look forward to then pick up good movies as they come out. I'm always looking forward to the comic book movies, of course.

It's directed by Tarsem Singh, so if nothing else it should look amazing.

Love the "Wild Card" reference for Charlie Day in Horrible Bosses. He and "the Hair" should bring it in that movie.

I know it's a year ahead, but World war Z in 2012 should be all kinds of awesome.
