Also, I predict this will be a very different game in the second half. pop will find a way to slow it down and grind it out more. Then we'll see the Knicks go cold. The key is not giving them too much of a lead by the half.

Exactly. I was just thinking that Pop may have been conserving fouls for that. Put some bodies on these guys, and throw them out of rhythm, and that shooting percentage will go to hell in a handbasket.

Yes, they should play better defense than to allow 72 points in a half. But if these types of things are going to happen, it's a damn good thing the Spurs are at least able to put up 69.

TBH I wasn't a big fan of Jordan in past seasons. Didn't seem like a hard worker but ive been impressed this season thus far. Hes providing a lot of 2nd chance opportunities for them while playing solid D.

You have internet. Why don't you use one of the plethora of illegal free online streaming sites out there? I'm not going to name them but I'm fine with letting you know that they exist. I'm simultaneously watching FSSW on tv and a free online NBA TV stream to get cwebb/mchale's perspectives on the game.

Interesting game.

Spurs zone defense seemed to affect the Knick offense for a little bit there.

Hey, it is what it is. Spurs last year would have no shot at this game. Of course I am disappointed with this defense, but the offense is stout and the Spurs have a shot at almost every game because of it.

Because of their offense, there is a wider margin for error on defense. If they can just defend well in the 4th quarters, they can win a lot of games.

WeNeedLength

We say they are going to cool down. It seems to happen almost every game. But Orlando was an example where they didn't cool down, albeit a B2B against a tired spurs team. If they hold Knicks to 110, I will be extremely happy and Spurs should win. I will say Spurs 119 Knicks 111. Go Spurs!

we're both playing at a fast pace, so a score this high is bound to happen. not to mention the knicks were really hot that first half. i don't expect them to be all game. we should be in the lead right now, but dice made a few bonehead plays that killed us. plus all the other turnovers... yeah. the second half is gonna be interesting.

Orlando did cool down eventually. Pop just pulled the plug early in the 3rd with the team down 20 and tired legs. They're matching the energy today and it's a close game, despite the defensive ineptitude.

The spurs are (overall) awful at zone, though, probably because they don't go to it that often in actual games.

I'd rather not have the game hinge on the spurs putting up a solid zone defense.
