This is when you know they are sub par, first of all great idea to have a Heavyweight Tournament; but lets screw it up by creating said bracket below

Well Strikeforce announced the final couple of fights, and here is the final bracket...terrible design in my honest opinion

I'd like to know who planned this, so I can ring their doorbell and bitchslap them when they answer.

Turrible. Got to have Overeem and Fedor on opposite sides.. but maybe they want to avoid any potential upsets that may mean they miss out on fighting each other.

If you swap Fedor with Rogers all of a sudden its a good bracket IMO... and then swap Werdum and Silva.

Fedor, Werdum and Overeem are clearly the top 3, and yet theyre all on one side :lol

It's all a way for giving Overeem the toughest path toward the Championship, they are hoping he'll lose and won't take the belt with him to the UFC like Jake Sheilds did. Plus, it gives Fedor a chance to avenge his loss or face Overeem immediately after a "tune up"match.

Coker looks like he could be a child molester if he wasn't running Strikeforce into the ground.

Mike Fagan over at BE had a decent write-up on this.

it actually makes sense, Overeem is fighting the #1 contender in werdum. The winner of Fedor/Bigfoot gets the next shot, which also makes sense. The winner of the other side, would be the new #1 contender.

The delicious allure of Gina Carano's vagina allowed StrikeForce to stay in business an extra couple of years.

Earlier today Strikeforce held a media call for it’s upcoming World Grand Prix Tournament. On the line were Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, Feb. 12 event headliners Fedor Emelianenko and Antonio Silva, along with M-1 Global Co-Founder Vadim Finkelchtein and Showtime Sports Executive Vice President and General Manager Ken Hershman.

The big news revealed by Coker was that the Strikeforce heavyweight title, currently held by Alistair Overeem, would not be on the line during the tournament. All quarterfinal and semifinal bouts would be scheduled for three, five-minute rounds, while the tournament final would be five, five-minute rounds. The winner of the tournament would earn a belt for the “Strikeforce World Grand Prix championship” and would then go on to face Overeem for the heavyweight title next. Unless it was Overeem who won the tournament, in which case he’d add another belt to his collection.

If any match should be fought to a draw a fourth independent judge will decide the winner.
