What comes to mind? What movies/scenes resonated with you hours or days after you watched them?

"Cruising" is probably the most disturbing film I've ever seen.
Others just off the top of my head:

-Michael Imperioli's death in Dead Presidents
-Murphy's death at the beginning of Robocop...seriously, it's pretty fucked tbh:lol
-Marathon Man (you know the scenes)
-The Dentist
-The "Sloth" murder in Seven.
-Plenty of scenes from Blue Velvet
-Noodles raping Deborah in Once Upon a Time in America (not very graphic, but still shocking an unexpected).

Too many to remember...

No subtitles (lol picklebreath brothers) but you don't need to know what they're saying to see how fucked up it is. Once you figure out what they're saying and what's actually going on, the fucked upness is increased like 10000000000000000000x.

Bathtub chick in The Shining. Love that movie, but can't watch it.

Hitchcock's Psycho. Specifically the very end when Tony Perkins is in the loony bin. The rest of the movie is almost charming by today's standards, but he looks directly at camera during those last moments and his expression still gets to me.

Also, David Lynch is one of my favorite directors, but (with the exception of A Straight Story) there's not a single of his films that doesn't disturb the fuck out of me at least once or twice. I re-watched all of "Twin Peaks" this weekend and was instantly reminded why BOB gave me nightmares when I was 12.

For me, the sisters scene scared the shit outta me as a kid. The POV camera work set it up beautifully.

Not a movie.

I was recently watching an episode of criminal minds. The serial killer stabbed the girl in such a way that she would bleed out and die slowly. Before she died, he made her clean up er own murder (he gave her a rag with bleach so she could clean.) That made me feel sick.

Not a movie either, but that reminds me of a special I saw on Richard Kuklinski, where he described one of his many mob hits. He said one of his victims was praying to god that he wouldn't shoot him, so the Iceman gave him 30 minutes to pray to see if god would help him. Needless to say, the guy was dead half an hour later.

Eraserhead is my #1 all-time pure discomfort movie.

Naked Lunch centipede rape scene is not fun, either.

Maniac has a really gloomy, seedy vibe that's ultimately scarier than any of the Savini-assisted murders.

And another vote for Irreversible. Jesus.

Un Chien Andalou's eye scene

Some of the animal brutality stuff in Mondo Cane

On a more mainstream tip, I thought Ring was spookier than it had any right to be considering the +/- retarded premise.

And anything of the "2 girls one cup" family of erotica.
