Don't even think about mentioning this clown for an MVP, EVER!!! He'll be lucky to make the all-star team and carry Kobe's lunch-pail. Both he and Duncan won't be worth shit come playoff time. In fact, Duncan is already gone to dog meat. Just enjoy the regular season, ya fucks.

all trolling aside, If the record holds he HAS to be considered at least in the top 3 or 5 ...

Let's say the spurs win 65 games and have HCA overall ...how many players leading a team with THAT type of record have not won the MVP?

Not exactly sure, but my guess very few. Maybe only MJ recently (when they grew tired of giving him the award) and my guess is anybody that did not win it finished in the top 3 in voting ...

Yeh he is a real scrub:

3rd in SG efficiency rating among SGs in the NBA; and with a better TS% and ASt than either Wade or Kobe who lead him (and Kobe by not that much) while Manu plays less minutes which hurts his rating slightly. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/position/sg

Plus he has been incredibly clutch and no surprise there - over a 5 year period Manu was the most clutch player in the nba according to an article in nba.com

Not only is Ginobili the new Batman, he's also Mr. Clutch. His shooting percentage isn't that great (but guaranteed it would be up this year!), but he's at the top of the list because he gets to the line often and makes his free throws when he does.

Bottom line come the POs there is no SG I would want on my team except potentially Wade or Kobe (if it not the gunning Kobe) and personally except for swapping out for a younger Wade, there is no other SG I would want on the Spurs period. He may not be MVP of the league but so far this year he has been MVP of the Spurs and knowing Manu he will have another great statisical run in him for the Spurs, and unlike many other NBA stars his will be in the most clutch situations night after night.

By the way, Duncan is 3rd among players Hollinger considers a center and way above say Chandler, who is also not the defender that Duncan still is when Duncan needs to be. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/position/c

Duncan also blocks more than Chandler in 6 less minutes per game and even outrebounds him!
