That father is an idiot. He just wasted years and years and years of this kid's life, and his own. If he wanted to groom an NBA Superstar from birth, he should have adopted a black kid.

Kinda looks like our DoK (running away) from the back.

Really impressive for a kid that age. Not many kids with that coordination.

the thing about grooming a player like that from that age..what happens if he only reaches an average 5'10? his entire childhood wasted for nothing

Depends on your definition of "wasted for nothing" is. If I groom my son at an early age to play basketball and he becomes good at it but is too short to become a millionaire NBA player, that doesn't mean he isn't good enough to earn a scholarship to college. If basketball can provide my child four years of a college education for free, I wouldn't consider that "wasted for nothing."

If Mugsy, Earl, and Spud can do it, why not him?

His father even named the kid Jordan. I think he had a plan all along to groom this kid into a star basketball player. He probably put a basketball in his baby cradle.

He's pretty good. What I don't get is why anyone argues with Tyson_Chandler when he says "he wasted his childhood for nothing". Such profound redundancy can almost never rarely be wrong.

someone should keep a database on all these "child prodigies" and see which ones actually make it into the NBA. i doubt the majority of them make it. he doesn't look like he'll grow very tall.
