Going to see the game tonight in Indianapolis. Considering the implications of the new CBA and the fact that the Spurs only come to Indianapolis once a year, I realize that this might be my last chance to see them for a very long time.
I'm going to be sitting in the balcony section. I tried to get better seats, but circumstances did not allow for that to happen. I was really hoping to see the spurs closer and perhaps even have a CHANCE to get an autograph.
So I came up with the idea of maybe hanging around their hotel lobby and hoping to run in to one of them by "chance".
I know I have seen footage of people hanging around the hotel and at least catching a glimpse of players coming in or out of the bus as they enter the hotel. I was at least hoping to see them from a distance and if that is all that I get I will be absolutely happy with that. For me that would be the memory of a lifetime.
I am relatively new to Indy and this will only be my 3rd NBA game ever. My roommate doesn't know which hotel all the sports teams stay. So I have decided to turn to my Silver and Black bretheren for help.
Does anybody know which hotel they might/probably stay in?
Has anybody ever done this before? What are some of the do's and don'ts of trying to get an autograph?
Do you think Pop or R.C. will be open to giving their autograph? (I'm pretty sure I know the answer) (Not sure if R.C. will be there but if he is that would be great)
Thanks for any feedack/help/suggestions.

Put on a delivery boy cap and shirt. Wear coaches' shorts, dress socks, and cowboy boots.
Approach Pop with a bottle of Boone's and say, "Wine delivery for Mr. Popovich, please sign below." Then pull up your shirt and he'll sign your belly.

I think they might stay at the Conrad Hilton, but I am not sure. If not, maybe the Westin.

There's an older hotel called the Canterbury that used to be a destination for NBA teams, but the Conrad seems closer to Conseco.

After two losses in a row it's an automatic stay at Motel 6.
Have fun.

Thread title might want to be changed. Definitely stalker-ish with that. But good luck with the autographs nonetheless...

"Are you Tim Duncan, you're much shorter than I thought but you signed by basketball Tim Duncan.... "
"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night"

There's a La Quinta a few blocks away on East Washington. I'd start there and work your way east.

You might be able to catch TP in his hotel room tonight if lucky.
Although instead of his autograph, you might end up wearing what he had for dinner today.

No one wanted them, because someone else was apparently doing them first haha. So I decided against it.

A true American literary tragedy.
