these guys are already squeezing it just because there is a chance they might be beat by a girl!

its a 500 mile race, I dont think that the loss of 100 pounds is going to make a difference between pit stops, caution flags and the like

Kannan is a pussy, I have allways thought so. And for Robby Gordon, try to win a NASCAR BUSH race before running the pie hole about an Indy car you only run once a year tops.

If Gordon's argument was legit, wouldn't all the drivers be going on diets and sitting in the steam bath, trying to gain a little advantage (like jockeys for instance)? I was told that the reason they didn't put the littlest guy they could find behind the wheel was because of the amount of strength it supposedly takes to steer one of those things with the precision you need to win. So much for that theory, if you use Robby's logic. Here's an idea, Robby, stop being fat.

So, how is she doing in the race?

MannyIsGod
05-29-2005, 02:51 PM
She's had a couple of mishaps that have hurt her. She stalled coming out of pit row halfway through the race, and she had a collision that damanged the front end.

However, that being said, she's the first woman to lead a lap at Indy EVER, and she's primed for a top 10 finish.

Pretty damn well if you ask me.

MannyIsGod

She's leading right now, leading the entire race. She can win if she doesn't have to pit again, but chances are that she'll have to pit.

Aggie Hoopsfan

holy crap, she went from 13 to first. crazy, can she hang on?

Leading after 174 laps of 200.

King

She'd better hope they go to a caution.

Everyone else pitted. If they race goes to caution, it's entirely possible.

her timened qualifying run was good enough to get her starting 4th out of 33 cars.
freaking awesome.

they said that herr weight may give her a 1 mph advantage.
1mph???? Robby's a freakin pathetic pussy.

MannyIsGod

She's not going to win, but she's going to finish pretty damn high. 4th place, not bad at ALL.

If she hadn't had to slow her fuel, she would've won this race.

i guess indy car racing wasnt dangerous enough so they had to resort to putting women drivers on the track. to make it more realistic they should let make her drive a suv and talk on a cell throughout the race.

I don't get the whole "she's lighter so her car is faster" thing.

If she's 100 lb. lighter her car is going to ride higher on the track and have more drag, seems like it'd be a wash to me.

Thats why you lower the ride height.

The arguement is legit, it doesnt matter during a RACE.

But during qualifying, when you have the cars trimmed out, and the disparity of weight is equal to 8 gallons of fuel.

Thats worth at least 1 mile an hour.

Its a fact. Its not whining.

This is not horse racing.

What are they going to weigh every driver and adjust the weight of every car before each race.

I say if you are worried, lose some weight, fat ass, and put down that next donut.
