the Spurs were 23-13 after 36 games. More amazingly, we had 21 losses before we got our 30th win. :wow To be 30-6 this year is a great feeling to the fans who had missed seeing the Spurs winning like Spurs last year.:flag:

As brillant as a championship competitor like us spurs, we can not just satifsy this record man, the truth is that actually we were able to hit 33- 3, so for a solid and fantastic team like us, this record ( 30 - 6) is nothing special, probably just on average

As brillant as a championship competitor (as we) spurs (are), we can not just (be satisfied with) this record man, the truth is that actually we were able to hit 33- 3 (I have no idea here), so for a solid and fantastic (team)like us, this record ( 30 - 6) is nothing special, probably just on average
Better..

5 of the 6 losses were legit. No chance in winning any of them. Even the Celtics loss was closer than it should have been due to them choking down the stretch.

I think we have to be somewhat realistic here. Yes, there were some losses that we all felt could have been winnable. But there are also wins that we easily could have lost. The win in Minnesota, Denver, last night against the Pacers to name a few. No team is perfect but the fact that I was trying to make is that we can again look at a game on the schedule and have that familiar feeling that the Spurs will win that game. A feeling of confidence in the team that I felt was missing last year. I had optimism but bar a few great games during a stretch in late may and early april, the Spurs just didn't feel like the Spurs. We can always hope for better, but I'm glad the Spurs seem like they are on the right track. A HUGE improvement from last year.

good record for sure but does not represent how good the spurs are. it wouldn't take long to look up many teams in the past with just as good starts as the spurs' yet flaming out in the playoffs.

Here are all of the teams that have won at least 30 of their first 36 games since 1986-87. I've added their ultimate bow-out point. Unless losing in the conference finals is "flaming out in the playoffs," I'd say that most of these teams played pretty well:

1 CHI 1995-96 33 -- champion
2 CHI 1996-97 32 -- champion
3 CHI 1991-92 31 -- champion
4 DAL 2002-03 31 -- lost WCF
5 DET 2005-06 31 -- lost ECF
6 LAL 1999-00 31 -- champion
7 PHO 2004-05 31 -- lost WCF
8 BOS 2007-08 30 -- champion
9 CLE 2008-09 30 -- lost ECF
10 LAL 2008-09 30 -- champion
11 POR 1990-91 30 -- lost WCF
12 SAS 2010-11 30 -- ????????
13 SEA 1993-94 30 -- lost WCFR

11 of the 12 previous teams to win 30 of 36 to start the season went at least as far as the conference finals and 6 of the 12 won titles.

If they handed out trophies for records, we'd have something to be excited about.

I love the quick continuity this season but we know based on this last road trip how quickly things can change.
