The Spurs worked hard to get Tiago here. The fact that Tiago, for whatever reason, dragged his feet and missed training, that's between the Spurs and Tiago. I doubt the Spurs see him in the same light as Ian, but then it would have been much better for the staff to see how to fit him into the scheme. Doing that in-situ is difficult. Some players that come from a trade mid season don't do well for the same reason, but they are accustomed to NBA rules and plays. Tiago doesn't seem to catch on to simple rule changes like the 3 second. Also, he needs to play like a 7 footer, not like a guard. Once he starts doing that, he will find plenty of playing time I think.
