They are a very young talented team. Didn't Sean say something about them playing teams very close or to the wire this year?

_pathetic_

Seriously, a losing team has two of their stars go out with injury and we still only manage to squeak it out at the end? Not good.

Predictable.

I don't know what all the hand wringing is for. Yes, it's the third time in as many games against the Timberwolves that the Spurs haven't been able to shake them, but this one in particular shouldn't surprise anyone.

It's clear this team struggles with teams that feature two big, bruising bigs. Throw in the fact that the Timberwolves almost beat them twice and you knew they'd be a confident team.

Keep in mind, this team was due for a dip offensively. Good as they are, they weren't going to scorch the nets with incandescent scoring performances for 82 straight games. Also, Parker is clearly not right.

On the plus side, the Spurs held their own on the glass (despite giving up 19 offensive rebounds, they were only minus two overall), held them to 39.6% from the field, 35% from three and 91 points for the game.

I would like to see McDyess starting next game and Splitter inheriting his left behind bench minutes, but that isn't going to happen. Short of that, hopefully Beasley is out (he probably will be) and Parker is feeling better and they can grind out one last one against this team, before finally being done with them for the season.

Who'd have thought we'd be looking forward to the season series with the Timberwolves being done?

Hmm, I thought Parker was one of the rightest things on the Spurs squad tonight... he seemed to be penetrating at will.

meh.

I liked that we saw more Dice tonight, and less Blair/Bonner... I thought it was key.
Other than that, I'll take it. It's good timing to have winnable games like this if one of the big 3 is ailing. Hopefully Tony can get better before next Wednesday.

T-pups play hard, they're the best at capitalizing on the holes in the opposing team's system, but that's never enough for a win, and it never will be. I have a lot of respect for the T-pups, but they lack heart.

That was a tough win. I am going to the game tomorow against the wolves and I am hoping that we won't need a giant comback to win that game like we did in November.

another win.

The Wolves are no joke. Just like Indiana, they compete every night. Love is for real. He's putting up awesome numbers and deserves to be on the All Star team. He's definitely a candidate for most improved player.

They are a very young talented team. Didn't Sean say something about them playing teams very close or to the wire this year?Respect and all that, but aren't they all "young, talented teams"?

I mean come on, that phrase is synonymous with "can't fucking win to save their ass". Sure they don't play like JV, and respect and all that, but these teams make some of the stupidest moves late in the game. Their coach is a fucking clown. He's just there to snare Love for LA.

supposed win imho. wolves are about the weakest western team this season while the spurs are the strongest. an earlier Spurs-Wolves match this season, as i can remember, was also a close game. it seems the spurs often tend to struggle against the wolves tbh, and teams of similar style. spurs have so many talents at backcourt tbqh, anderson/neal/hill etc... not so say manu and parker, but the frontcourt looks rather thin with an aged duncan and a 6'5 blair as your main options.

although blair plays fine against soft PF/C, trigga struggles to perform when confronting those bigs who are just as strong but 5 inches taller. 2nd round would be the ceiling for this spurs team if no change is made

Dice is looking like the monster in your closet, waiting to pounce as soon as no one remembers he's on the team.

I can't wait for Dice to come out of the closet. yeah.. errrr. yeah
