I don't really believe in the idea of a 'hero', but if there was a person that deserved such praise, it was Maj. Winters. What he did for the 101st Airborne throughout D-Day, Bastogne, and Berchtesgarden, was instrumental in the Allies' victory over Hitler's Nazi forces. He shunned the praise that was heaped on him post Band of Brothers (book/miniseries) and that was just indicative of the man's humility. May he rest in peace with the Band of Brothers he served with that didn't make it or became memories in time itself.

RIP.
I cant shake the appearance and demeanor of the actor who played him out of my mind but if he really was that composed in real life then I would no doubt followed him too, everywhere.
