TBH, he has matured a bunch. He's taking pride in playing defense & contesting almost every shot His passing game has improved a lot also. He used to only care about scoring but now he's playing hard on both ends.

He's balling. remember that one span where he was putting up some decent points(around 15 to 20) and always had under 5 boards? :lol

Shiiiiiiiit, he still needs to rebound more. Drew should be grabbing double-digit boards every game, but I think he'll improve as he gets healthier.

Rebounding isn't really an issue.. His offensive boarding has been very good.

He's attempting and succeeding to alter every shot that goes up near the paint (something Pau never does). As long as Pau and Lamar are gobbling up those clanks created by Drew's anchorage then the Lakers are golden.

Agreed...there's really no reason the Lakers shouldn't lead the league in rebounding if they're healthy.

Against all that quality competition, too. The Hornets, 76ers, Memphis (Loss), Pistons, Suns, Hornets again, Knicks, and Cavs. Man. There are exactly zero good teams in that stretch aside from maybe the Knicks.

So congrats on your 1-1 record over the last 8.

I enjoy watching Bynum play. But I wonder if he'll continue to have kneee injuries through his entire career. If I were the Lakers, I wouldn't have brought him back so soon simply because it's more games for him to get injured before the playoffs.

What's the Strength Of Schedule for the LAL again?
.442 Lowest of the Top 15. It's going to get tougher from here on out. Let's see if Mr. Glass is no longer...http://katiecandraw.typepad.com/katiecandrawcom_internet_/images/2008/04/14/cookshipping.jpg

.442 Lowest of the Top 15.

Try again.

Lakers have played the easiest schedule not just out of the top 15, but in the entire league thus far. By a pretty drastic margin, too. Aside from the Kings .452 SOS, the Lakers are .017 points behind the next lowest ranked team. The Lakers (and Kings, obviously) have played far easier schedules than any other team in the league this season, and it's not close.

Well, it's worked out splendidly the last two Junes as Bynum stuck Howard then Perkins in respectives holes.

I only bothered to check to Top 15. The fact you're telling us it's the entire league should tell LAL fans to take a sip of Shut The Fuck Up and pay homage to the bball gods who blessed them with teams willing to lie down and give them victories so that Bandwagon fans can rest a bit. 7-1 ain't impressive.

EDIT: Maybe it was just once? I don't recall if drew played in the first matchup. Point stands though.

I guess Kobe needs 2 HOF bigmen to carry him at this point. This is as sad as seeing Timmy being carried by 2 HOF guards.

I knew Timmy was but I did not know Kobe was in such a sad state too TBH

Bynum is a very good center. But just for debate purposes, where would Bynum rank as a center in the 90's? Would he even rank in the top 5 NBA centers of the 90's?

Though Howard having just the one dunk over 5 games and Perkins just playing a smidge over 5 games Bynum did enough.

2009, Bynum fared quite well against D12 defensively, helping lead the Lakers to a ring. D12 hardly beasted against the Lakers.

2010, Bynum was the one that physically ended Perkins' season. Physicality is also mental in that he was clearly in pain - but he played anyway. Bynum needed surgery (just like Kobe) before the playoffs. Did Bynum miss any games? He soldiered up and played on a bum wheel which earned the respect of his coaches and teammates.

Bynum willingly admits that TD is his idol and patterns most of his game after him (which is good, IMO). To call his Shaq in his prime is crazy, but to say he's not physical is not very smart. Ask "Crash" how physical Bynum is! :lol
