Got the start at Power Forward tonight with Dirk out, and was not gun-shy to start the game, going 1-5 from the field in the first quarter. Finished 2-7 in 14 minutes with 3 rebounds and 3 personal fouls. Nice to see life out of a relatively unknown player, but was a non-factor tonight.

Solid on offense: 4-8 from the field, 3 assists, no turnovers, but contributed greatly to the Mavs poor defense. Mavs a -12 while on the floor.

Did Not Play. Recovering from foot surgery. Looked good shooting jumpers in the pregame shoot around.
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/1705.jpg Caron Butler: Incomplete
Did Not Play. Recovering from season-ending surgery. Trade Bait (hopefully for Captain Devin Harris!).

Scrapped and clawed his way to 17 minutes, had a few hustle plays, but made little to none impact on the game---good or bad.

Led the Mavs in scoring at the half with 12 points, Aggressive, talked trash, and played with a swagger getting to the line numerous times. Faded significantly in the second half, allowed penetration, allowed Hibbert/Foster to pester him, lost his cool late in the game and received a technical foul.
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/1000.jpg Brendan Haywood:D+
Played a decent game in terms of effort according to his own standards, but still well below what's expected of him, only earned 8 minutes versus a poor team with the Mavs suffering serious injuries...not good.

Drove hard to the rim in the 1 minute of playtime he got in garbage time. With the Mavs guards struggling, makes you wonder why he didn't play more.

Passed Dale Ellis to land third on the all-time list for made 3-pointers. Had an amazing highlight steal on Brandon Rush in the middle of the 3rd quarter that led to a cross-court pass to Marion for an open dunk. Made me pause the game and watch it about 3 times on replay. Had a very good all-around game, 13 points, 3 steals, 7 assists, 3 rebounds--but sadly couldn't provide penetration the offense needed nor defense on Indy's guards. Collison seemed to enjoy the match up.

Energetic yet ineffective in 4 minutes of playing time.
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/510.jpg Shawn Marion:C
Looked lost, and understandably so. Thrust into becoming a go-to guy and couldn't deliver ending up going 5-12 from the field. Probably should have started to help his rhythm. Defense was nothing special, which is unusual for him.
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/609.jpg Dirk Nowitzki: Incomplete
Did Not Play. Day-to-Day with knee injury.Shot jumpers with RoddyB pregame.
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/2172.jpg Sasha Pavlovic:C+
Didn't have a job 72 hours ago, yet ended up playing 16 minutes. Did nothing that stood out, but seemed to be in the right place at the right time and played solid defense. I think the Mavs give him a guaranteed contract after his 10 days are up.
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/808.jpg DeShawn Stevenson: B+
3-venson lived up to his name tonight, launching 7 shots from beyond the arc, making 3. Looks weren't as open as they usually are with Dirk on the floor, but ended up with a +4 while on the court...only Mav with a positive plus/minus. Played solid D on Granger. Played 30 minutes, should've played more, in hindsight.

Maverick's unquestioned #1 option tonight, and it showed. Tried penetrating, but often met two defenders at the rim. 4 turnovers 3 assists, Rarely got open looks. Had more shot attempts (20) than points (18). Mavs needed a playmaker on the floor with Dirk and Caron out, but it's tough not to think how the Mavs would have played if some of his minutes had gone to DoJo or Stevenson.
