View Full Version : Yo Yo Yo - When was the last time Tim Duncan scored 39 points

I'm not trying to start no shit but has it been that long? Ok then how about 30 points. No can do? Then how about 20 points? Dam I think it's been a minute.

Memo to Tim Duncan most players can coast to the finish line but you're not one of them. Relying of players like Splitter and Blair is a disaster waiting to happen come play-off time. I know you want to rest your knees but you're not the kind of player that can just turn it on. Get with the program chief. :bang

If Duncan is not using his knees now then it won't happen. Hey listen the only "can" Duncan will be opening come play-off time is a "can" of oil for his knees. I recommend the 40 weight Penzzoil. Use them or lose them. :lol Did you not see the Tin-Man in the Wizard of Oz.

Duncan has turned into a big goofy stiff. Ohh and that BANK shot while it still may actually hit the backboard on occasion it no longer goes into the net but rather into the waiting hands of the defensive rebounder.

Duncan's rating is the highest on the Spurs despite the lower minutes. That can of whupass is coming. You just don't see it yet because as usual, it's coming from your blind spot of disbelief.

When was the last time Tim Duncan had to score 39 points and 16 in the 4th to help his team win?

When has Tim Duncan ever had to score 30+ for the Spurs to beat the Warriors?

I find it disgusting that Tim's closet friends are reducing him to nothing but some dam Efficiency ratings. These ratings don't win titles. They only win the hearts and mind of those fans who are angry and in disbelief and denial. A guy playing 2 minutes a game may score 4 garbage time points and go 2/2 from the field. You see where I'm going with this.

But I know this isn't Tim's best year but can you answer my original question. When was the last time he scored 19 points and hey I'm being as generous as I can. I think the Spurs are rocking you guys to sleep with their record and because you love them so much you can't really see what's "really" happening.

That could be a nice Spin on it. But the argument itself while you may think it's clever it only serves to highlight Kobe's legacy and greatness even more. As you point Tim very well may never have had to score in this manner and it's a testament to the quality of teammates he's been surrounded or gifted with since he came into the league. Granted Kobe played with Shaq for a while but Tim has always had multiple all-stars on his teams to do the dirty work.

Kobe scores and has to defend the best player on the opposing team. Just look at last night as a good example. Kobe is not giving the crown to these young players they will be forced to snatch it out of his cold dead hands. Kobe 39 and Monta 38. You'll never see this kind of performance from Duncan. In fact when Duncan faced a young stud eager to prove himself in Blake Griffin. Blake went all NASTY on Tim just dunking all over him at will. Kobe still has tons of fight left in him. Tim I'm not so sure.

[What's "really" happening.]
Spurs are 33-6 and one of only 2 teams in the L to still have only single digits in the loss column.

Lakers have 11 losses and have played a cream puff of a schedule that will get significantly tougher and Bean has even less cartilage on his knees than Duncan has.

So, Kobe, why weren't you practicing all season?

"Because I have very little cartilage under my right knee cap, it's almost bone-on-bone," said the 32-year-old Bryant to the Post.

http://nba.fanhouse.com/2011/01/07/kobe-bryant-i-have-very-little-cartilage-under-my-right-knee-c/

So who needs the Penzoil now? Reality.
Tons you say! :lmao

As to the question....Look it up and you can tell us.
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/tim_duncan/game_by_game_stats.html
I mean, the team is solidly in 1st place and the LAL is looking up at them. I'd liken you LAL bandwagon types to be eerily similar to those German scientists during WW2 who told "Sig Heil" that the V-2 Rocket program was can't fail.

Per NBA com in efficiency per 48 minutes Duncan still the more effective player and he has less wear and tear on his knees this year that the gunner that is Bryant and is remarkably close to him in overall efficiency rating. not saying that right now Duncan is the better player but the margin is not vast = Bring it on those that think Duncan is washed up.

Simple, great players get the job done on the biggest stage in basketball. The NBA Finals is the biggest stage in basketball. Not the second round.

If your precious Kobe really was the best player in all of basketball, why does he have 2 losses in the biggest stage of basketball and only 1 Finals MVP in 5 Finals wins?

Tim Duncan has 4 rings, and 3 times he was deemed the best player on the biggest stage in basketball.

Kobe is nothing more than a Jordan emulator. He tries so hard to be like Mike, but Mike the greatest baller in history, NEVER lost in the Finals in multiple trips. Sounds like someone familiar methinks.

So great players can't win the 2nd or 1st round, that makes sense.

I guess beating the likes of

1999 Knicks - one of the weakest teams in the history of the Finals
2003 Nets - the 4th weakest team in Finals history
2007 Cavs - 1st weakest team in Finals history

is something to pump up furiously as major career accomplishments.

Are you really counting 1999 as a whole?
No he's not - he's just trying to be nice. Here is what you were referring to:

They played 50 out of 82 games that year. So mathematically speaking, you take 50/82 and get 0.609%. Then you add that to their 3 titles won after playing a full non-strike shortened season, and you get 3.61 titles. PJ believes in "*" to get his point across. I believe in math - which is more accurate. The Spurs have won 3.61 titles as a franchise, tbh, and there should be no shame in that.

Duncan has turned into a big goofy stiff. Ohh and that BANK shot while it still may actually hit the backboard on occasion it no longer goes into the net but rather into the waiting hands of the defensive rebounder.

Get a load of this queer. He comes off trying to be sincere, and then shows his true shitty colors. You ain't nothing but a hater, join the club faggot, they have jackets. Btw, Duncan scored 21 when the Spurs dominated the Thunder, 20 against the Suns with 15 rebounds, 28 against Denver with 16 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 assists, & one steal.
