Detroit given them all they can handle with Dirk playing major minutes.
Cuban's head must be exploding.

It's going to take a couple of games for the Mavs to re-acclimate to Dirk's presence. Also, there's the Caron Butler injury to consider.
Unlucky fuckin' team. Too bad. I wanted to see a Mavs/Spurs WCF.

Kidd once again can't shoot :bang
I'd rather the Mavs completely suck just so that they will be forced to make a trade, rather than suck it up and just get by playing .500 ball

I told everyone Butler played solid D and was an underrated part of our defensive success, no one believed it though. Good luck playing good D with the midget army of undersized guards. Barea and Terry are defensive liabilities, and putting Kidd out there with them at the 3 makes him a VERY undersized 3. We need a big SG, fast. Butler for Sjax
Yep.

7 foot Monroe picks Barea's pocket.
If Dallas makes a trade they need to get rid of this guy. He tries to do too much and in the end provides points for both teams.

Pistons have played better recently because there's been more continuity with Rip out of the line-up. Minutes getting consistent for the other guards. Trade talks and Rip sitting actually been a good thing. But this is also a team that let a second half 25 point lead slip away to the Raptors. Not over yet.

I think the Mavs should try to get Al Harrington. He'd fit perfectly with this team. And if they can swing a deal for Stephen Jackson without giving up Kidd, Terry, or Nowitzki, they should do that as well. The Mavs look very vulnerable right now.

Mavs in full on implosion mode right now.
I expect they'll get it together eventually, but damn....they don't want to show their playoff strategy too much. Nobody will pay to see the movie if you show everything in the trailer.

If they can get Stephen Jackson, Terry is definitely not untradeable, although I do agree with you that they have to make a trade for somebody.
The Mavs are about as vulnerable as your butthole at a gay strip club right about now :depressed

he will get something done to fix this.
Until that time we fans must fight through this. Go Mavs

We all know this isn't going to be the same Mavs team next month, so these losses are pretty much meaningless.

Mavs are in free fall mode. With Dirk out this team got exposed as being far more shallow than earlier predicted. Marion is just trash at this point in his career.
That said, it's hard to lose your 2nd best player, and Chandler was out this game too. They'll recover, but a 3rd seed is by no means a lock for them anymore. NO is streaking and only a game back of the Mavs for the 6th spot.
