View Full Version : Was Brent Barry's cuckoldism the catalyst for the Spurs' fast start this year?

The Spurs have been listless and slow coming out of the gate in recent years, so it's not out of the realm of possibility to assume that these events brought the team together. After all, as long as you're winning nobody will dwell on the negative. If our boys win then this season should be dedicated to Erin Barry, imo.

I'm not buying this. If the Spurs win the championship, the season should be devoted to Richard Jefferson's gayness.

The Parker/Longoria scandal didn't surface until after the season started, so my bet would be....no.

Health is the biggest reason for the Spurs' fast start.

So we know that it even happened? I haven't followed the story much, but they've both denied it, yes? Of course that's not decisive, but why is everyone so sure? What's the evidence? Again, not denying it myself, just don't know the whole story.

A healthy Big 3 + a legit bench, imo.

It's the alignment of the stars and planets.

No, no, its end of the mayan calendar.

+ a more serious and determined big 3, not just healthy.

Manu approached Pop in the offseason, stating that he wants the team to come out of the gates firing and not giving up easy wins against teams they should beat. Pop clearly listened and the team as a whole had a different mindset from the get-go.

I think it has a lot to do with Splitter dunking and falling on his ass because we have not lost a game since... :hat

Young legs and hunger are the reason the Spurs started fast this year, along with good health. The Spurs being pretty good has something to do with it too.

Until this moment, I forgot that whole ordeal went down. I'm sure the rest of SN forgot about it too. Next...

Having the bench to win games when Tim, Tp, or Manu are having off nights is the big difference along with health. They have legitimate playmaking depth.
