Coattailer? Kobe. Then again, the NBA Finals MVP trophy only started in 1969, so there could be others that predate the award.

Yes. And my requirements extend to more people than those in that list.

Actually, they're lower than TD's. For example, under my criteria Shaq qualifies as a Superstar. Even guys like Malone, Nash or Lebron, who didn't win a ring, but have 2x League MVPs also qualify.

No need to as that is irrelevant in determining what we're looking to establish: a coat tailer.

My contention is that a coat tailer is a player that can either be a very good complimentary player or even a really bad one but can never be a dominant MVP type player unless they are beyond their dominant years; ie, Shaq now.

So getting back to establishing this list how many of these "coat tailers" listed by ElHomo won Finals MVPs or league MVPs?

How many won more than 1 Finals MVP?

Only started in 1969? Makes no difference as Russell would have won most likely all in the 60s, aside from Wilts in 67. There's a reason why the award is named after him.

2 league mvps and 3 Finals MVPs would disqualify almost every player on that list and still does not logically establish the definition of a coat tailer. So you're either incompetent or trolling.

Spur_Fanatic
01-20-2011, 04:31 PM
Follow this guideline:

Because there are only two types of posters: Normal posters and trolls.
Normal posters can be good or bad, but because this is the internet, there is no actual need for such labels, nor sense; for any proof, directive, or some sort of rulebook.

Trolls are easy to spot, as they like to stir trouble in the other faction/team/opposition's forums and/or chats.

Here is the issue: What he said is true, simply because he is a Spurs fan, in a Spurs forum. Thus, by definition, he can't be trolling.

So all he says must be true, and factual. Right? Cause never before one asks for proof, evidence or data in the internet, thanks to the internet's anonimity factor. And, as he is no troll, he could be saying the truth.

Thus, I'd like to support the claim Kobe is not an actual superstar.
Oh, and that he is Adolf Hitler's grandson.

Plus only one superstar has the highest winning % overall and of course that too is Duncan.

Superstar is a term tossed around too much - Kobe/Duncan/Shaq definetely in that select club with multiple titles as MVP and definitive first ballot HOF caliber players (multiple MVPs of either finals or the regular season in a year with a championship level squad) the rest of the NBA stars are wannabees at this point with Wade, Pierce, or Garnett with one title each at least having some legit cred. From a rigorous standpoint (TNT used this definition a few years back) James/Dirk/Nash and so many others ain't done (*& yet.

There is a lot of Kobe and Duncan bashing back and forth but together I believe that they would have been an even better duo in their prime together than Shaq/Kobe as Duncan and Kobe were in their prime both unreal defenders and would also have fed off each other offensively. Moreover, I believe Kobe respects Duncan's quiet excellence and vice versa Duncan never has had anything negative to say about Kobe

How Does the Google Auto Complete Search Engine Work?

The Basics

Google's auto complete function is called Google Suggest. It works by finding searches done by other visitors that are similar to the search you are making. The suggested queries are chosen by the popularity of the query with other users. If the right query appears, you can click on it rather than continue to type. It may also include relevant information directly in the suggested results.
