If it was my first time I would be there when the doors open to not miss anything.

It's an experience...

Congratulations! I remember my first game around 5 years ago, I still can't forget how unbelievable it was.

There's not really a bad seat in the plaza level, unless you are directly behind the basket and even then it isn't that bad.

I like to park at the golf course across from the entrance to arena (old Iceman's). It is only $10, about the same walk as the $15 stadium parking, and you don't have to fight much traffic to get out of the parking lot. $8 stadium parking isn't bad if you don't mind a healthier walk. But almost every time I park in the $15 lots it is a pain to get out unless you leave early, which I don't do even in a blowout.

Have fun!

Congrats! If you don't have a parking pass there is a pay lot ($10) right on the corner of Houston and Coca Cola which provides a short walk there and easy access leaving the game. It's the best place to park if you don't have a pass IMO.

That's terrific news! Be sure to get there at least 30 minutes before tip, but don't get there too much earlier than that or the doors might not be open yet. You'll really enjoy the arena, the atmosphere, the fan shop, the amenities and everything. i've been to many Spurs games at all the historical venues, from HemisFair to the Alamodumb to the AT&T Center. You'll have a great time and the fans should be fairly pumped for the game since we lost to the Bricks last month. Have a great time, buddy!

Main arena doors open 1 hour before game time. (Btw- your tickets say 7:30pm, but game time has been moved up to 7:00pm) You can enter on the West side of the arena (next to the Freeman Coliseum) and go into Headlines (the arena's sports bar) 2 hours before game time. If you do that, you can then proceed to your seat when access to the rest of the building opens 1 hour before the game.

As to parking, you've already got some good advice. I'll add my 2 cents. If you're staying downtown, Lot 1 will work well when leaving after the game as traffic will be funneled onto Houston Street headed towards downtown. Lot 1 also works for access to I-35. Lot 6 works for I-35 and is cheaper.

Avoid the parking/traffic hassles by taking the bus from either Randolph Blvd P&R or the one in Crossroads. $5. See http://www.viainfo.net/SpecialEvent/Spurs.aspx

I've only seen the Spurs when they have played the Suns because I am living in Phoenix. I'm trying to go out to San Antonio in March and watch a couple of games. (Pistons and Kings I believe). I'm super excited as well. Let me know how the experience is. Then maybe you can help me out with (hotels, parking, etc).

I think Mel_13 covered most of the important stuff. I'd encourage you to take advantage of having floor seats and enter an hour before the game. You can get autographs if you line up by the tunnel between section 128 and 101. Have a fantastic time and yell your ass off!!

Well I'm always jealous. I'm 26 and been a life long fan and still haven't caught a home game. I saw a preseason game in Memphis a few years ago though.

This. I went early and was able to see the guys warming up, standing courtside. Also got some autographs and pics with some of them.

Hey can I bring a canon rebel camera? Prosumer camera/camcorder

Havn't really brought in a camera before but see people with regular digital cameras their all the time. Maybe this helps

All camera policies are event specific, so please call 210-444-5000 to verify prior to coming to the event. No professional camera/video equipment may be brought in for any AT&T Center event including “detachable” lenses, lenses that are longer than 3 inches or flashes. Patrons have the option to take any cameras that are not allowed in back to their car or they can check it in at Guest Services and pick it back up at the end of the event. Please note for "most" events the regular 35mm or digital/disposable cameras are allowed in as long as the lens is not detachable. This is not the case for "all" events. Concerts may have their own policy based on the promoter's requests.
