And not only are we playing defense, we've defended and defeated identical twins before (See UT vs Stanford Lopez Twins, 'twas pure domination)

The student section behind the baseline has improved over the last six to eight years, but we need more of that in the good seats.

Why y'all still get all these 5 stars after last year's debacle I don't know. The Texas brand is really powerful I guess, and it's only going to get bigger with that ESPN deal.

I remember seeing some rumor about big recruiting violations (more on the football team than basketball) coming down on Texas (started on a Texas fan forum) stemming from credit card purchases that went to players, and even some hookers or some such. Was there ever anything to that? I wouldn't ask, but the rumors started on a Longhorn fan forum (shaggybevo, I believe). The way they talked about it seemed to indicate it was an open secret. Also involved a lawsuit by Gloria Alred or something.

That was just some wild rumor on Recruitocosm which is basically Barking Carnival. What we know is that one of Mack's right hand men, Cleve Bryant, was accused of sexually harassing a female employee of the university. The rest is all speculation and no story has come out as of now.


Regarding those 5 stars, remember the name Myck Kabongo for next season. If TT and Cory Joseph come back that's going to be a potential NC favorite lineup when you add a true stud PG like Kabongo who makes everyone around him better.

I've heard of Myck already; I remember he briefly de-committed for some reason before committing again to Texas. He is very good from everything I've read.
