Just can't let it go can you? We saw what happened the last time you predicted a Spurs beatdown in NOLA. That's right, a raping that no fans deserve to witness.

Let it go BR. Show some dignity and walk out quietly. Don't forget the Hornets miraculously won against Memphis at home a few days ago.

head to head stats: West has Duncan in points. Timmy has every other stat in more than 2 less minutes. Neither player dominates. Spurs vs. Hornets is all about CP3 (this year's most undeserving ASG starter) and TP.

BR has no credibility. Even with Hill out, the Spurs will win and then this guy will proceed to keep on posting like nothing happened.

At this point in his posting career, BR is basically a white, New Orleans version of Lakaluva.

I'm actually wondering if Pop will make Dejuan guard West again, like in the first few games. If he does, I can see West putting up good numbers.

So much misplaced confidence around here. Hornets didn't play any of their starters for the 4th quarter last night. That + Hornets are at home + Spurs played Duncan extended minutes + Ginobili in a shooting slump from 3 + no George Hill/no Matt Bonner = recipe for disaster.

These aren't the Toronto Raptors where you can bull shit your way to a win. Hornets are a respectable, potent team and CP3 is still amazingly good through 3 quarters of most games with occasional flashes of brilliance in some selected 4th quarters as well.

Matt Bonner had to go on a 3 point barrage the last time we beat them. Nobody else on our team is as consistent at shooting the 3 at this moment in time as Bonner is.

We will again need strong performances from Parker/Duncan in order to win as I suspect Ginobili's shooting woes from 3 will continue given that it's a back to back.

West: 72/41/12
Duncan: 3/2/1

Hornets 145
Spurs 47 (getting a late one to avoid losing by 100)

when your team is 37-6, i don't think there can be a lot of misplaced confidence. not yet, at least. nope.

that's silly. Ginobili has played A LOT of great games on back to back nights.

What if Pop severely limits Duncan's minutes tonight on a BB so that the Gizzly Bear can just feast all night all over the soft NOH?

If David West is so damm good why is Paul bitching about having no talent around him then gets a public hard on when Ariza or J. Jack join the Hornets? Answer is West is not, he has limitations and can score irregularily very well, but not do much else as a forward. Duncan in limited minutes is the top ranked Center in the leauge by Hollinge and has a player efficiency rating higher than West despite playing about 13 min less per game.

No, his back to back stats are on average across the board inferior to his stats when he gets rest.

He did have one game (at least) that I remember where he played well on a back to back, but that's certainly not a reflection of the mean.

Sorry I should've included the categories as well, but hopefully it's clear what most of them are. Most notably his percentages from the field and from 3 are markedly lower when he gets 0 days rest (32.5% from 3) versus when he gets 2 days rest (40% from 3)

jestersmash
01-22-2011, 02:55 PM
With 0 days rest, Ginobili tends to rebound a lot more (5.1 versus 3.1) but he also commits more fouls, doesn't steal the ball as much, and doesn't block the ball as much.

He does turn the ball over less with 0 days rest. He's more of a "loose cannon" when he's bustling with energy (2 days+ rest) :lol

That beat down of the Hawks was pretty nice though. Not that they're THAT good though. Sure they're over .500, but they also play out east.
