Golden State Warriors launch search for new employee
The Golden State Warriors, hoping to benefit from the success of TV's "The Apprentice," has launched a search for its newest full-time employee through its own in-arena reality experience, "The Intern."
Ten college students will compete for a full-time job with the Oakland-based NBA team, beginning Nov. 17. At each of the next eight Wednesday night home games, ending March 23, two teams of five players will be assigned business-related tasks to perform and fans will have the opportunity to witness each at work and see the elimination process.
The field of 10 will be narrowed down to one who will be rewarded with a full-time position.
To apply, contestants must send a résumé and videotape to the team by Oct. 11. For full details go to www.warriors.com.
