Most likely, they'll dispatch the Spurs in the 2nd round.

It would be hard to see Hornets beating any playoff team in a 7 game series.

They are just not built for the playoffs.

the hornets will not get past the 1st round. this is a fact of life.

Just like the Lakers won't get past WCF

If facing the lesser of Utah, I concede the Hornets could have a chance in hell. especially if holding home court.

Mavs vs. Hornets round 1 would be epic IMO.

A 7 game series going either way.

Whornets will most likely face Utah, OKC, or Dallas in the 1st round. Possible Lakers if they slip and Denver gets hot.

Miami was a much bigger win than the Spurs.

LOL recent history says otherwise ...
Overall NBA history says other wise.

Lakers make it this year they will have been in HALF of the NBA finals that have been held ...IIRC

Smart money is on us making it. unfortunately we have lost some too. I have seen us lose in the Finals FOUR times since i have been a fan. Lakers have lost more finals than Spurs have appeared in ...some think that is some type of negative I think it's great we have a title chance every other year ..on average. We have our droughts (90's) but most of the time we are in the hunt ...

oh son they are absolutely furious about it. I have never seen a fan base get so damn mad over a regular season beat down. Yea we all talk shit, boast about wins, hate on other teams and posters, but no other fan base takes it as far as Spurs fans have in this epic loss. I have received threatening emails for daring to boast about how well the Hornets have been playing and how easily they owned the Spurs. This is not to say that all Spurs fans are like this because that's simply not the case, but an overwhelming majority are just downright mad and bitter whenever they lose. They have attacked the messenger and not acknowledged the simple facts. Usually whenever someone results to these tactics it is a sign of fear. You didn't see them getting anywhere near as mad whenever the Clippers beat them down did you? ... but they know there is legit reason to fear the Hornets and they are all praying that they don't have to face them in a 7 game series. The Hornets match up against the Spurs better than anyone else in the NBA this season.

not quite. I didn't even watch the game. But from what I suspect, it was bound to happen no matter who Spurs faced that night. It just so happened that Spurs faced the lowly hornets. Lose some win some. Chalk this up as a freak loss and move on. I already forgot about it.

On the other hand, it looks like HOrnet fans had a parade after beating the mighty Spurs.

But this thread is about the Hornets and their inability to get past the 1st round of the playoffs. Who will they lose to again? My bet is on the OKC tapping that ass.
