View Full Version : The best film scene ever

Is from Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Shitty movie with Nic Cage as the lead. He plays a corrupt detective who injures his back in the beginning of the film during a rescue. Months later he's hooked on painkillers and illicit street drugs, but he's still solving homocides. In this particular scene he's with a group of detectives at a stakeout when he starts to hallucinate that a couple of iguanas are on a table. It's completely random but probably the funniest shit I've seen in years. Like I said, bad movie, but the subtle hilariousness of this scene is priceless.

The OP's is a decent scene, but nowhere close to great.

The best film scene ever is the end of Unforgiven when Clint kills the whole bar, blows Gene Hackman's face off, scares the shit out of the pussy writer, tells the remaining citizenry to bury Ned respectfully and then threatens to come back and kill all the women and children and burn the house down of anybody who follows him.

I prefer the end of Good, Bad and Ugly and the end of Once Upon a Time in the West to that.

I will admit that Nic Cage has made his share of bad films but Bad Lt. isn't a horrible movie. Nic Cage was perfect for that character.

I agree.

That beach invasion sequence in Saving Private Ryan was the most powerful scene ever filmed IMHO.

Half Nelson is probably top 3 for me. It's not for everyone but definitely worth watching. Plus if you like Broken Social Scene, they did the soundtrack.

I'd show you, but you probably haven't heard of the movie.

No, but I'd probably say the ending montage to The Wire. Seeing Marcetti run for Mayor, Chris and Weebey being identical in taking the hits for their side, dookie taking the needle. Sad, sad stuff.

The uploader of this vid edited the scene kinda awkwardly. If you haven't seen it, might wanna check it out. :tu

seeing Ed Norton reminded me of the most ridiculous scene in movie history.

5VgOy087KNs

unintentional comedy out the ass. 400lb ethan supplee playing basketball, a retarded amount of alley oops or 360 dunks, defenders simply running out of the scene to make it look like ed norton blew by them, and the white guys winning.

It's edited awkwardly because all of the youtube versions take out the dialog between Gerard Butler and Thandie Newton, which is hilarious and a big part of what makes all the rest of it work.

Yay for Tom Hardy, though.
