Underrated

DeJuan Blair deserves considerable credit for the Spurs remarkable success. He's always been a ferocious rebounder (especially on the offensive end) and has learned to play above-average defense. Moreover, the young man has developed an effective fall-back jumper in the lane.

I disagree about Howard as he has worked hard to improve his weaknesses and really no one controls a game defensively as much as he does and the Magic would fall off a cliff without him but the rest is spot on and Odom does deserve his acclaim - he has really been super for LAL this year.

Dwight Howard is shooting 45% from jump shot this season, he has multiple post moves, his hook shot is pretty much unstoppable..his only flaw as an offensive player, other than FTs, is his poor passing ability..

As a defender, clearly you haven't watched him play..I guess Orlando has had the #1, #3 and #5 defenses in the NBA the last 3 years, due to their great perimeter defender, Jameer Nelson, Vince Carter, Hedo Turkoglu, Gilbert Arenas, JJ Reddick and others:lol..

Is Blair really an above average defender? It seems like he never checks the mid range jump shot and that's an issue considering just about every team's got a PF who can hit the mid range.
