what ive always thought is strange about Lupe, is that most rappers put their best lyrical work into their underground work, and tend to dumb mainstream stuff down. Lupe is backwards, his mixtapes and underground stuff is really good, but nowhere near the lyrical depth that he puts into his mainstream stuff. his whole ongoing story of The Cool, The Game, and The Streets is really unique too.
