Honestly Shaq did coattail ride Kobe to win rings. You spurfans should remember it was Kobe that lit you guys up both in '01 and '02. I remember Kobe dropping 40 points on the spurs back in '01 while Shaq didn't even show up in the first 2 games of that series. If Kobe doesn't step up then the Lakers lose the series. In '02 Kobe was also huge when Shaq had bad games against the spurs in the playoffs. In '03 unfortunately Kobe couldn't bail out Shaq this time and thus the spurs won the series. Shaq is nothing but Kobe's glorified sidekick.

Shaq was beasting back then. Go take a look at those Finals numbers and tell me why Shaq was undeniably the Finals MVP every single season...

And as we've seen today, it doesn't matter how well or not Kobe plays, Lakeshow goes as far as the big man will take them.

Kobe did the Tim Duncan like route by allowing Shaq to win those MVP's in the finals. It was because of Kobe's greatness that Shaq was free to get all those easy buckets which is similar to what Duncan did for Parker in the '07 finals. The defense was focused on stopping Kobe in the finals that it opened up the game for Shaq and thus Shaq dominated and got those mvp's.

Who was Kobe dominating when Shaq left to win a ring with the Heat and Kobe missed the playoffs?

In Miami it was the same story for Shaq which is he needs a dominate SG to win except this time he couldn't get Finals MVP because Wade bailed him out. Wow doesn't that sound familiar a dynamic SG bails out Shaq after not showing up in crucial games. Kobe did dominate the league when Shaq left hell he had scoring averages above 30 just that his teamates were crap. I'm shocked he was able to win 40 plus with trash such as Smush,Mihm,Atkins,Kwame. Kobe without Shaq was MJ without Pippen which is he was still a dominant player but he didn't have his second sidekick until the Lakers got Gasol.

What sounds familiar is Kobe missing the playoffs, then having a quick exit in the first round (with Phil, Bynum and Odom) until Gasol came around and he was back to coattailing.

Look at Duncan in 09 he couldn't get out of the first round with just Parker plus your scrubs such as Bonner,Bowen,Finley, etc. Without Ginobilli the spurs are a first round team. Now nobody would ever say Ginobilli is better then Duncan but it is agreed he is a vital cog. This is pretty much the same way it is setup with the Lakers for Kobe that without Gasol they are a first round team but without Kobe they aren't a championship team and maybe not even a playoff team.

You'll have to start out as altar boy and work your way up until we deem you worthy of a higher position. Nothing personal, but remember, the Devil has many guises and for all I know, you might be a Spurs or Celtics fan masquerading as a Kobe fan.

Perks to being an altar boy is that you get to personally assist Father Culburn.

Just make sure to go natural under your robe.

Duncan won 'ships with different casts. He was on the decline already in '09, and still is. I'll be the first to tell you that. Then again, no Spur fan is talking about Duncan being the GOAT or some such shit as the Kobe cockslobbers.

The reality stands though: What you call the 'dynamic' is the fact that Kobe needs a big man to win games simply because he's good, but not good enough to win without coattailing a big man.

Thus, this thread is spot on.
