one of the biggest choke jobs in recent NBA history..
Let's see if they can cap it off..
They were up by about 11 points with approx. 1:40 remaining..

Back 2 back loses for Capt West? What's going on here? Bellineli is not an All Star? :wow

If Hill got part of the ball and his follow through hits the backboard, is that still technically goal-tending? He definitely hit the backboard, but one angle makes it appear he hit the ball too. If so, I think good no call. If not, the layup should have counted.

Unreal. These refs tried to give Paul 10 freebies tonight and he still can't hack it. I want to see what BR thinks about this disgusting trend of Paul getting 10 FTs a game.
:lol Marcus Thornton, this is why you don't play son.

I missed the replay on Thornton's shot, but it looked like a goaltend in real time..anybody see it?..

Yeah. It looked like Hill blocked the ball and then hit his hand against the backboard. I saw slow-motion replay.

thought it was goaltending, not sure.

10 Freebies for Paul. Now I have seen it all. I thought 8 Freebies in the last loss was bad. It's getting worse. What a shame it is to have the NBA owning a team.

Wow, I don't know what was worse: an obvious goaltending not called or Chris Paul not calling a timeout WHEN HE HAD ONE TO GIVE and instead choosing to jack up a 3-pointer.

Forget it, Deep. Luva already claimed that.
You're a rat & a copycat.

Ariza's numbers look better though. That will bode well going forward.

Last three games.
It wasn't that bad till the 4th quarter where the bench tried to blow a 25 point lead. But it wasn't good either.

I like Ariza, but damn, he tried to make some of the stupidest passes in this game..

So is it confirmed that Hill missed the ball? Or even if he hit it then the backboard that it's goaltending? Am I the only one who saw the angle where it appeared the ball was deflected slightly on the way up?
If the ball is blocked/deflected legally, then similar to the NFL tipped pass rule, I don't think goal-tending should be the call if something else occurs.
If no block, then, yes, it was goaltending.

I think it was goaltending. The ball hit the backboard then Hill hit it.

Paul is a STARTING ALL STAR...he deserves at least 10 freebies a game!

This thread is a joke.
The Hornets shouldn't have been anywhere close to tying this game. On their previous possession, Paul flopped like a fish out of water and was given three undeserved free throws. Then, on the Suns' subsequent inbound pass, Nash saves the ball from going out of bounds, passes it to Carter, who was fouled so obviously that a blind ref could have called it. Instead, the Hornets were rewarded the ball again.
Some of the worst officiating I've ever seen in my life.

That's a good angle. The angle I saw was more from behind where I didn't see the ball deflect off the backboard first. Just saw it appear struck and react accordingly. Definite goaltend.

They said it was not reviewable--even with the expanded instant replay rules.

Suns season is a train wreck with or without this win. All I have to keep me going is the sweet, sweet memory of that SKUNKER over the Spurs in last year's playoffs. Tee, HEE.
