View Full Version : Laker Fans - Pau Gasol Has Quit On The Team

Koolaid_Man
01-31-2011, 10:58 AM
I'm not gonna pick on Artest because he's has a low IQ we already know that...Bynum is good as gone when Dwight's contract is up so I'm gonna leave them out of this conversation for now...but

It's painfully obvious that Gasol has checked out on the team. Next time just look at his play, hustle, and positioning on the court... He's Quit because he can't be the man. He doesn't take responsibility for any of his actions on the court instead he blames Kobe every time for no ball movement yet again and now I kinda want this euro faggot gone...

He wants more touches but his shot selection is shit. How many times have we witnessed Kobe force feed him the ball in an attempt to make him play aggressive and Pau doesn't respond. The truth is we'd a lost by 39 again if Kobe forced feed him like he always does. Everytime we went away from Kobe ball Boston took advantage of Pau's weakness...Pau played 39 minutes and per his min played was out rebounded by old man Shaq. In fact Pau was out-rebounded by every single Boston Big yesterday and manhandled by Big Baby...

The Best synopsis I've heard:

Here's basically the break down of the game

First half:

Team ball - down 9 points

Kobe ball - up 6 points (before odom's stupid foul)

Second half:

Team ball- down 5 points after 3, down 9 in the 4th

Kobe ball- cut lead to 4

Then bigs start pouting, stop fighting for position, stop rebounding, stop playing D

Celtics blow game open

Gasol - "[The offense] wasn't run very well tonight. The ball didn't change sides of the floor as we spoke about during the pregame," Gasol said.
Gasol - "It's not a good thing when you finish with 10 assists," he said. "When the assists are 20-plus, it's always a good sign because it tells you that you're sharing the ball, you're finding the open man, and the open man is hitting the shots. "That didn't happen tonight." just like he did in 08 by saying that KG was getting the better of him because of spacing on the floor and Phil shot back: "It's not about spacing but about Pau recognizing the defensive schemes being played on the court."

Now this faggot wants to blame Kobe for his fuck ups...but Phil Jackson ain't having none of that...

Start watching at the 2:10 mark. They asked Phil was Kobe shooting too much and Phil basically says: "No, no one else wanted the ball or took advantage of opportunities they had so he did what he had to do."

Look at this faggot he has the look of a quitter:

It's obvious Pau is fed up of Kobe's antics.

Kobe has a habit of running your MVP bigmen out of the organization. Kobe = worst teamate in the history of the modern league

You can float that if you wish that's not my argument...I hope Kobe runs Pau off we've gotten a couple titles out of him and now he appears useless...It must be a Euro thing...I'd take Nene at this point over Gasol...did you not hear Mark Jackson and JVG yesterday...they said the Lakers came to play but their Bigs don't look like they want to play."

No, Kool. This isn't gonna be that easy and pain free. If there is an upheaval (ala Kobe & Daddy) we'll have wreakage from one end of the runway to the other. Putting the pieces back together won't be orderly.

agree...bout as uncomfortable watching that Kobe rape / apology interview...

Bynum has no pride in himself at this point...Both him and Pau have a false confidence that they haven't earned. Seriously they're getting owned on a nightly basis since the first 2 weeks of the season...Bynum has to have his feet set within 3 ft of the basket to make a shot...He has no real paint moves if he makes a shot at this point it's pure luck while Gasol is playing the role of saboteur....Gasol can only score in the post on guys who are 6-7 or shorter...this shit is unreal...I've lost every fucking money bet I made on this niggas...and I lost quite a a bit...this has never happened to me...:lol

One must question the underlying motives of Jackson here going forward now. Is he still flat-earred and holding grudges against Bryant after having to come back begging for his job after he was jackassing for months over Kobe? Is his imminent retirement a chance to shit the bed and "get even" with Bryant & Buss for Buss siding Bryant at that last bruhaha?

Fine thread, Kool. I got a sad feeling that you're preemtively accurate here.

Pau is playing on the Kobe vs Shaq history because he knows Kobe will take a blow to his image if there's a Kobe vs Pau showdown..but I say fuck his image it's already shot...the people that don't like Kobe now never will... so get that 6th ring and every one else be dam...Fuck em all is my motto...Pau need his ass kicked... I wish someone would literally fucking punch him on the court in front of the world and make him have to man up I want to see just how pink his pussy really is...

Jackson will be the bell weather to watch now as this event unfolds, if Kool's warnings are confirmed.

He failed Daddy & Kobe during their blood feud. It's incumbent upon him now to make this right without a 52-card pickup again.

Bynum and Gasol need to be the constants, not Kobe. However, it is plausible that Pau is getting fed up with Kobeball, as last year Kobe when Kobe became the Lakers all time leading scorer, Pau said afterwards "Now we can focus on winning." And now the quote about sharing the ball, he's GOT to demand the ball. Bynum looks like a big goofy ass kid who just doesn't give a shit

I think teams are finding out how to guard Gasol. You start off by pushing him around and being very physical, and then he goes into passive mode, forcing Bryant to resort to chucking.

It's kind of shocking to watch his decline against elite teams, really. If it continues, I have to wonder if Pau can continue to be considered a top tier PF.

It's been a strange season thus far to say the least. I really expected the Lakers to dominate the West this year and instead the Spurs are raping ass and the Lakers are 7.5 games out of first. :wow

While I do relish in the abysmal status of the Lakeshow and the feelings of doubt and worry amongst their fanbase...it's not going to be as fun shitting on the Lakers in May when they aren't even playing like a contender. Come on Purple/Gold, there's way too much talent on that team, get ya'lls shit together

Cul I don't believe Jax is the culprit here...I think he's let bygones be bygones when it comes to Kobe...I think he's actually helped Kobe quite a bit and is riding for him at this point and I believe this is what has Pau so upset. Pau has a high IQ he almost became a Dr. so while I don't question his intellect I question his manhood...Pau wants a close relationship with Phil but Kobe his standing in his way. Pau may have read Phil's book blasting Kobe and actually thought Phil really meant all that shit...Phil was trying to sell books before he thought Kobe would actually want him back...

what Gasol doesn't realize is that Phil is from the old school and his loyalties will end with Kobe...He's been through the wars with Kobe while Pau is the new kid on the block... it's deeper than we think...Pau wants LA to be his but he has to take it from Kobe like Kobe took it from Shaq but the difference is Pau is a Euro and has no fight in him...

& I too don't have any proof that Jackson is the culprit. I just know human nature, and most people would be seething if they wrote that book and had to come back and eat shit. Then to have the guy that you ripped in the book grant you grace is upon first blush a godsend for Jackson, but, then over the years he may be realizing that Bryant owns his ass (that reversed he, Jackson, would never forgive and forget as Bryant did) and he may be holding a grudge over it. Just a scenario I've concocted. Just a hunch.

Who is fleeing? why would "rats" show up AFTER a loss?

Of course Kobe would not have two additional titles withouut Pau. they don't win inthe finals last year without key contributions from fisher and Artest in Games 3 and 7 ...

What does any of that have to do with Pau playing soft when he is needed?
Like i said I doubt this becomes a Shaq/Kobe type issue ...but I dont appreciate that kind of soap pera crap ESPN does ...

As for Kobe in THAT game i dont blame him for being so aggressive ...we looked flat except for a couple stretches and his efforts kept us in it. To win though Kobe needs help and he could of forced it more to Pau but I doubt last night we get much out of it ...

Anyone know any good waxers??? Someone should email Pau's agent just to make sure Pau gets a brazilian on his vagina before the playoffs start hahaha. When ratliff comes back I would shut him down for 2-3 games just to give him a breather. He gets paid like 17 mil a year so he has no excuses but European players are built differently.

"Whenever we play games like that, we give Kobe no choice but to try to take over the game," Odom said. "We just didn't get everybody involved like we needed to."

I'm not dismissing the facts that Gasol can't pass the ball to himself or that it's 15 years into Bryant's career and he still can't help but try to win a game on his own from time to time. Bryant's zero assists on Sunday jump from the box score as much as his 41 points do.

Gasol was hardly the lone problem against the Celtics. The Lakers were outscored 59-42 in the second half, allowing Rajon Rondo to rack up 15 of his 16 assists after the break. Ron Artest went 1-of-10 on offense and could do nothing to stop Paul Pierce from scoring 32 points.

But Gasol is the three-time All-Star; it's his duty to rise up to be the yin to Kobe's yang to maintain the health of the team, even if he has to force it sometimes to make it happen.
From the Dave M. ESPN article ...Lamar at least gets "it".

Also, let's give props to celts as well. I have been calling the celts the favorites all season long. I saw nothing in the OKC/MIA game or the Laker game to convince me otherwise. Yes we are the defending champs and yes the Spurs have a better record bt Celts are playing the best ball so far THIS season ...

and all you whiny pricks that was playing the "what if" card none of that ish matters. Celts won in 2008 and look like faves in 2011 so far ...that is and that is all ... LOL

Is Pau even strong enough to post up against physical players? I can't imagine him forcing his way into the paint against any big in the West with a moderate amount of strength. It's just not in his makeup to enforce his will like that from what I've seen.

I was a skinny post player ...just need good length strength and some heart. he can do it ...but it's not easy ... but a 3 peat is probably the hardest thing to attain in team sports heck even in individual sports ...winning backtoback is seldom done ...3peats? rare. Laker bigs need to play defense and rebound before they complain about touches they weren't getting despite being ineffective against the Celtic defense.

You don't beat the Celtics by expecting to score at will on them. You have to match their defensive intensity and grind it out.

They couldn't stop Kobe and they still won because they shredded what became an extremely soft Laker defense in the 4th quarter.

It's a lot easier for the bigs to defend when your perimeter defense isn't leaking like a sieve. Artest did nothing on Pierce while he guarded him, and Fish and Blake are amongst the worst guards in the league, defensively-wise.

On top of that, you roll out Walton instead of playing Bynum... :lmao

Artest was doing ok, Pierce really went off when Phil pulled him and put Luke on him in the 3rd. That was a terrible move by Phil imo.

Ultimately he switched to Kobe on Pierce in the 4th which calmed Paul down but let Rondo run wild and find open shooters.

But the help defense in the post was atrocious. Gasol simply does not know how to anchor a defense, read opposing offensive schemes or properly anticipate how and where to help. That considered, when he gets pushed and punked on the offensive end of the floor he becomes neutralized to the point of uselessness.

Pau knows. The problem is that he's been run to the ground. He also has a severe case of inflamed vagina, where if he doesn't get a touch on offense, he doesn't give a shit on defense. And don't put everything on Pau.

Pau knows. The problem is that he's been run to the ground. He also has a severe case of inflamed vagina, where if he doesn't get a touch on offense, he doesn't give a shit on defense. And don't put everything on Pau.
Bynum got clowned by Big Baby, and Boston was running isos for Rondo against Blake. That's just sad.

Blake not containing Rondo is not a big deal to me... Rondo is an outstanding player. He should not have been defending him in the first place.

Bynum got worked by Big Baby on one play. Whoop dee doo. Even so, it was something that should not have happened. Overall I'd rather have seen Drew and Odom play together over Gasol.

Gasol is the 2nd best player on the team, arguably wit the potential to be the 2nd best player on the floor every game. I blame him the most.

ElNono

Rondo has NO JUMPER, which means covering him shouldn't be that much of a problem at all, especially on an ISO situation. Blake is just that bad on defense. Unfortunately for the Lakeshow, Fisher is probably just as bad.

If Bynum can't control Big Baby, you don't expect him to be an anchor, do you?
I agree that Odom is probably the best big the Lakers have right now. But they need Gasol to step up.

It's not a Euro thing. Ginobili has 3 and looks like he's about to pop a blood vessel on every possession, but that's a convenient scapegoat for your prima donna's diva like qualities.

It's a Kobe thing, and eventually boils down to an organizational thing. You guys are a corporate entity and you don't mind shit canning the guys who got you there. The way the fans throw Magic under the fucking bus time and again is evidence that you guys support the "win at all costs" mantra that the organization obviously espouses. There's no concern or give a damn about your team. They are interchangeable pieces and you only need one nut to hug. Right now that's Kobe. The Lakers sure as hell didn't lose because of their offense yesterday.

IT'S THE DEFENSE. When you get dominated on the boards and simply let Ray Allen, Pierce, and co. fire away uncontested shots you're simply going to lose.

I'm equally pissed about Steve Blake because he's looking like a giant bust right now. He was absolutely brain-dead on the floor. I've never seen someone blow so many defensive assignments in such quick succession. I thought he had a little bit of stage fright, considering he hasn't exactly played many of these kinds of games in his career. Makes you realize just how important guys like Fisher are come playoff time.

All in all, once Barnsey comes back I think we have to swap Artest out. He just doesn't give us anything, at least Barnes can knock down 3's and hustle for boards. He also has more length and is a bit more versatile.

There is no agenda, genius. If you go upstairs after the few spur losses this year or the many last year, folks are blaming Bonner, Parker, RJ, Pop or even some Manu for careless TO's ...

Name me one Laker fan who does not want Pau to sack up and grow a pair? He is ours for now and him playing soft does us no good. If he doesnt contribute Lakers wont win shit regardless of how good Kobe is ...yesterday's game proved that.

Defending Rondo one-on-one doesn't involve anything more than daring him to shoot. Rondo is dangerous in set-offense and on the break. Isolating Rondo is exactly what the Lakers did last season, because he doesn't have the offensive game to really hurt you. Obviously, when Doc Rivers actually runs isos for him against Blake, that's pretty much the ultimate insult.

Defense against offensive-challenged players is not that complicated. Anybody that actually watches games understands that.

And Blake defense is just fine if you don't want him to stay in front of anybody. Fact is, this Lakeshow bench has been outscored by almost every single team since Shannon Brown stopped with his fluke 50% shooting from downtown.

Again, Davis made one good move on Bynum. That doesn't make him Moses Malone now nor does it make Bynum Shawn Bradley. Andrew still reads and reacts much better than Gasol even if he didn't do so well yesterday.

Far from just a single play. Davis (13pts/4reb) had basically the same production as Bynum (11pts/6rbs) in 5 less minutes. One is a starter, the other is the third big on Boston.
Fact is, Andrew is severely overrated by Lakerfan, while getting abused by smaller guys like Davis, Blair or scrubs like Cousins. And you want that to be your anchor? :lmao

Of course it involves more than just daring him to shoot, lol. What kind of moron are you? The leading distributing point guard in the NBA is now "easy" to shut down even though only one team (specifically one player on him) has been able to successfully do this to Boston. Brilliant analysis.

Again, everyone with a bball IQ above 36 understands that once a screen is set, defense becomes a team defensive reaction, not solely based on the initial defender. Morons who don't know the game and who's main purpose is to troll a message board may see things differently but in the real world, this is basketball 101.

I saw the boxscore too!

That does not provide any insight into the individual match up of Davis vs Bynum 1 on 1 in any way. Again, basketball 101.

The Best synopsis I've heard:

just like he did in 08 by saying that KG was getting the better of him because of spacing on the floor and Phil shot back: "It's not about spacing but about Pau recognizing the defensive schemes being played on the court."

Now this faggot wants to blame Kobe for his fuck ups...but Phil Jackson ain't having none of that...

Start watching at the 2:10 mark. They asked Phil was Kobe shooting too much and Phil basically says: "No, no one else wanted the ball or took advantage of opportunities they had so he did what he had to do."

rzIVndfaPdc

Look at this faggot he has the look of a quitter:

Can't blame Kobe for manning up. I wouldn't give Gasol the ball either if all he's going to do is continue to be soft with it.

So I really don't get much of a rise out of it. You can banish me to whatever imaginary place you like, and while you are doing it, get yourself an imaginary life... wait, you already have one on here... nm.

Worthwhile sermon, Kool, but because you are a known sodomite who enjoys the texture of another man's rectum, you can never become a confirmed member of the Church of Kobe.

There's an easy explanation for your struggles:

Birth defect. You type like you have a mouthful of jizz.

Which insignificant shithole country do you call home? If it's the US, it must be a state thing.
