Stephen A. Smith is getting yet another opportunity to do a radio show, according to moles who know the 25 degree weather of Bristol, CT.

The broadcaster, most celebrated as an NBA Insider, who has bounced around from a number of great gigs since being dumped by ESPN, is returning to the company on the local radio dial in America’s biggest media markets.

Starting Monday night Stephen A. will do a program based mostly from New York City that will simulcast from 9pm till 11pm ET (6-8pm PT) on the ESPN owned and operated stations in Los Angeles (710am) and New York (1050am), according to radio insiders who love to read BenMaller.com

A. Martinez, who had been hosting his own night time show on KSPN in LA will continue on as Smith’s sidekick. Martinez will also do a 6-8p block alone in the city of Lakers and Dodgers.

The NY Daily News first reported last week that Smith was about to rejoin 1050 WEPN in New York, a station he had worked for back in 2005.

Stephen A. started hosting a daily hour-long TV show on ESPN called Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith in August of 2005, the show was bashed by critics and had low ratings before being cancelled in January of 2007.

Smith more recently hosted the morning show on Fox Sports Radio.

So Kobe must be planning a new "I quite" tantrum just about the time the Spurs win the championship, like he did last time, because we all know he's a fucking attention whore.

I didn't even realize he was gone; it was nice not hearing him hoot and holler about the stupidest things. Oh well...

Maybe he could get Gary Payton on his show and the whole thing could be ebonic gibberish and cackling with inside street humor jokes. That would be cool.

You'd have to have a white guy in charge, moderating the whole thing. If not, things would get outta hand and they'd start singing songs, eating flava flav chicken and the sort.

I'M BACK! At the end of the day you know that every last one of y'all missed me. You were getting tired of soft ass chumps with their "stats" and their "facts" and there "reasoning". ESPN realized they needed a man with the guts to not let numbers do the thinking for me. And my sources tell me that David Stern's putting a deal together to get CP3 up here in a couple weeks, so I figured I'd just get my front row seats to the finals reserved a little earlier. Quite frankly, it's good to be back and if your ears start bleeding don't worry, that's just God telling you I'm right.

I always considered him to be the Charles Barkley of ESPN, only perhaps not quite as stupid as Charles in terms of actual substance.

Entertainment-wise, both are pretty comparable.
