Question: Hey Coach Pop, I know there was a lot of unfair expectations put on Tiago Splitter coming into this season. How do you feel he has handled the transition to the NBA?

GP: He has done a very good job. He is a very frustrated player right now because he is not getting minutes. He comes in before and after every practice and works very hard. Missing training camp really hurt him, for a lot of reasons that are pretty obvious. He has been behind the power curve the entire year but he continues to work and we're trying hard to find him minutes and hopefully he'll be more of a significant factor by the time playoffs come.

Question: What are you looking forward to on All-Star Weekend?

GP: (Laughs) To be quite honest I usually look forward to taking three or four day to decompress and reevaluate, relax and get that cup filled up again to continue for the end of the season. Now that the players have played so well that it has put me in the All-Star game I have to look at it positively and the positive side is that it's going to be a thrill to set on the bench with the greatest players in the world and watch them play and just be around them.

Thanks for posting. Pop always gives good answers in these things and it is rare that you get a chance to appreciate his candor.

His comments about Tiago echo what a lot of people have thought; Tiago is a hard worker and now that we are half way through the season, Tiago will likely get more opportunity.

Question: Hey Pop, honestly, are you just jealous of Craig Sager's fashion sense?

GP: Absolutely not. My wife would have left me long ago if I dressed like him.
